Cheaper XBLA games promo starts today [update]

Update: Doh! It looks like there was an early mistake in making the games 50% off. The discounted prices are now 25% off with Frogger and Hardwood Spades at 300 and Bankshot Billiards 2 at 900 Microsoft points. Come on Xbox Live guys, get your crap together!Today is Arcade Wednesday and even though we aren't treated to any new releases, we do get a few Xbox Live Arcade games discounted. Starting today and running for a whole week, Frogger, Hardwood Spades and Bankshot Billiards 2 are all available for your downloading pleasure at newly discounted prices.

clearly the comments we made on the X3F reporting of this the other day have been successful in convincing Microsoft to lower their prices by a full 50% instead of the previously reported 25%.

I don't think Frogger is worth $5 (original price). Maybe at $2.50, but games that are more fun than that (in my opinion at least, like Paperboy) hardly get played anymore. They should just make them free and have ads on the edges of the screen.

actually Frogger and Hardwood Spades are 300 Simoleans... I am not sure on the Bankshot Billiards because I already own that game.
But thanks for reporting, I plan on buying them anyway.

I just checked Xbox Live here in Canada and both games are 300 points as opposed to 200. Guess this is a US only deal!

They're only 25% off, not 50% off. There is even an ad in the arcade that says "25% Off 1 Week Only" and lists the 3 titles. You can click on it and it shows the titles at 300, 300, & 900 points. (I'm a US member.)

Me too I only paid 200MP for Spades...good thing for MS cause I wouldn't have bought for 300, it's not the money, it's the point.
