If you've dabbled in the
Halo 3 Forge a bit, moved things around and explored you've probably wanted to clear the map and add your own objects free of the default object offerings. But before you go searching for a "clear all objects" option in Forge you should know that there sadly isn't one. Bummer huh? Well, thanks to super helpful Bungie forum member Chevmeister, he painstakingly deleted every single item in each multiplayer map and posted the new cleared maps for everyone to download via his file share. Each map variant can be downloaded via the links over on the
Bungie forums, so queue up some maps and Forge away on a blank canvas. Thanks Chevmeister, you kind hearted soul you.
[Thanks,
el moco]

Wow, I didn't know Halo could use external content.
Seems like a potential security hole.

I've start to do that yesterday in the evening and that... pisses me off! Thanks to Chev to save my time!

I love the fact that I can click a button and a new item is added to my downloads queue. Now, that's what I call integration.

@not likely
It's not external content. It's just basicaly the maps in Halo 3 but stripped of everything. Also Bungie screens them before hosting them.

No problem guys. Tell me if you find anything on my maps that I forgot to delete and I'll fix it.
Have fun!

This guy saw a need and ran with it before anyone else could. His name will live on in history- as his version of these maps will probably be in the top ten downloads for YEARS to come.

I played briefly with the forge... this is a good idea to do this.
Bmurph @ Sep 27th 2007 6:54AM
This is a great idea! By the way, are there any plans to create some kind of 'just-for-fun' or whatever group to play with xf3 guys/girls? I think that would be fun, plus it would help beef up my pathetic Friends list!

woot. Just finished up a game of Forge. A lot easier to edit everything now that I don't have to go back and delete everything. Thanks again dude.

Awesome! Thanks chev, this will make things a lot easier.
@ 4.: It's not external content, you can only add the objects that Bungie lets you. (Which are already in the game)
