Halo 3: Hunting for Hayabusa armor

The guys over at The Xbox Domain posted a helpful little chart for Halo 3 players who want to unlock the various Halo armor permutations and just don't know how. The chart shows a preview of each armor variation and explains what you must do to unlock each armor piece. It's quite the nice informative guide. But there is still one mystery that has yet to be solved fanboys, because the sexy samurai Hayabusa helmet has yet to be found. Actually, it's universally accepted that the Hayabusa armor will be unlocked once the player has found all 13 Halo skulls, but that's where the problem lies. There is one elusive skull named "I Would Have Been Your Daddy" that nobody has found yet (Bungie brags that it's the hardest to find) and is supposedly the last key to unlocking the Hayabusa armor. So, if you're all about being famous within' the Halo community, find the last skull, unlock the Hayabusa armor, wear it proud and be the envy of all.

Oh so this is Bungie's side of the cross DOA/Halo thing...A Spartan in DOA4, and Hayabusa armor in Halo 3..COOL!

Um...Hayabusa refers to the main character from Ninja Gaiden. Yes, he does make a cameo in DOA, but it's a nod to Ninja Gaiden.

Sorry for double post but i would also like to point out that Hayabus'a appearance in Dead or Alive is not a cameo..he did not originate from DOA, but he has been one of the main characters in the series from the beggining...Spartan 458 in DOA4 is a cameo, Hayabusa is a main Character ;)

The full set has already been found by good bit of people. Played with two of them in fact, one from bungie and the other well I guess he won't say and got lucky. The only part we don't know how to unlock is the helmet, which is either all 13 skulls, which I think was disproven, that or their game glitched the unlock and they need to go back and grab whichever one caused the problem (which happens alot) or it is the steaktakular metal. Some were saying it's tied to a metal you win in multiplayer.

I think the original poster was referring more to the fact that there was a Spartan character in DoA4 and that this harks back to that.

It doesn't really matter if the guy originated from Ninja Gaiden in that sense.

I believe that is really is that you have to get all 13 skulls to unlock. I have 12/13 of them and have everything except for the helmet. I got the shoulders at I think 11 (or maybe 12). All I'm missing is the IWHBYD skull.

Make sure you have all the ports needed for XBL open/forwarded.

Check your NAT in the Test Xbox Live Connection option of the Network Settings on the System Blade.

If it's set to 'Strict', you're going to have issues finding matches.

For those who are interested, they're missing plenty other permutations, like the Spartan body piece with a sword on its back from getting 100% game completion (1000/1000 GP).

It goes well with the Hyabusa helmet, in my opinion.

When you record the game session of unlocking and play it back in fast forward in the theater, you realize that jumping through the rings produce music.. and it's the halo theme.

The secret of the IWHBYD skull has been revealed, to get it you need to do some jumping on Covenant in a specific order to make it appear.

That "helpful little chart" is crap. They just copied it off of the forums. First of all, to get the Scout shoulder pieces you need the Mongoose Mowdown achievement, not We're in for some Chop. Secondly, Rogue armor is a nickname for EOD armor, but they differentiate between the Rogue and EOD helmet, which are the same.

i have the chest piece and i still need to find most of the skulls but i have around 9 and i have the "too clos to the sun" achievment(excuse if that isn't the name of the achievment but i'm form mexico and i play in spnish language) anyway i think it's either the achievment or a hard find skull

after kill the prophet of truth, kill all flood in area but do not go down elevator
at the end they will be seven holographic rings u have to jump though jump in them in this order to get the skull ring 1 near elevator ring 7 near truth the skull will spawn near energy bridge
