Earlier today, Namco-Bandai made the announcement that both
Beautiful Katamari and
Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation have wrapped up development, went gold and are on track to make their respective release dates.
Beautiful Katamari will be available on October 16th for the very beautiful price of $39.99 and
Ace Combat 6 will be on retail shelves October 23rd for $59.99 or $149.99 for the flight stick collector's bundle. W00t, w00t!
So, as we see it, these two games coupled with
Orange Box,
Virtua Fighter 5,
Guitar Hero III and
Jericho (just to name a select few) should leave Xbox 360 gamers with quite the busy and expensive October. Happy Halloween gaming everyone!

Simply awesome. The 360 is this generation's PS2 - hand's down. But, what's with the price of Beautiful Katamari? $40? I love KD as much as the next guy but the original was only $20 when it was released and this is three years later.

correction: "hands" not "hand's"
Not that any of you grammar sticklers out there really care :D

There will be cheapskates who will complain if they have to spend $10 on Ace Combat 6. (rolling eyes)

These games can pretty much enjoy not selling well at all on the 360!
Ace Combat 6 might have a small chance to sell averagely, but the 360 audience simply, for the most part, isn't going to buy into Katamari. Seriously, look all over forums.
"WUT IS THIS GAY SHIT!!11 I DUN LIKE THIS! ROLL A BALL WTF?"

I think if you spend enough time on them, you'll quickly find that forums aren't really great reflections of the general consumer market. The original PS2 version, before release, was largely ignored and shunned, loved mostly by people who like random quirky Japanese stuff. It did well, so did its sequels.
I'm sure it'll do fine and the $20 price difference between BK and most new games will help.

i dont see alot of people forking out $149.99 for that ace combat 6 joystick deal...
with the demo the pad handle well with this game,
