I think the game's actually looking pretty cool. There's some other new footage between some the interview sections... for example, I never saw the grassy outdoor area before. There's other older footage stuffed in there too, though (E3 trailer and otherwise).
Hope it turns out. I was kind of turned off after the E3 trailer, but it's looking promising again to me.

Is it Too Human or Two Human? I'm thinking it's Too Human...lol
Vid otherwise looks good...

Wankerific. "One of the real strengths of Baldur is he's the character you connect with"
The fuck does that mean? How do you learn to talk like that. Spewing words without actually communicating anything.
MYPS3KilledMy360 @ Oct 6th 2007 12:24AM
the concept of too human sounds good but i hope they present in a way that apeals to a lot of people. the battle system sounds ok.

Etchasketchist said it. They sure do like to talk about their game...and talk...and talk.
Is it just me, or does this have train-wreck written all over it? From the contrived visual design and messy combat to their tantrum over the Unreal engine. C'mon.
That said, I do hope they pull it off. The 360 could use a sweet God of War-ish game.

The combat is what's really interesting me - using the analog stick. I had a lot of issues with it in Godfather, but Too Human looks a lot more focused on melee combat. So fingers crossed it'll be worth the wait.

The combat looks so.. Lackluster. The animations seem to be missing that dramatic bit of flair to them to really lend some 'oomph' to the whole thing, and the enemies' reaction to getting hit by standard attacks is terrible.
And the camera STILL bugs me.

It is a developer "diary", of course they'll just be talking a lot about things. Plus it's one of a series to begin with.
As for connecting with Baldur, I think it's meant mostly in the sense (considering the context of the rest of the comments surrounding that) that he isn't some ridiculously powerful, well known god such as Thor... If it were Thor (or any other major player), it would be difficult, I think, to portray any human like or sympathetic qualities. Maybe it could have been phrased better, but that's what I got out of it.

Anyone know what the co-op is gonna be like for this game? Online?
ryan @ Oct 6th 2007 12:45PM
it's gonna be similar to diablo or phantasy star WoW dungeon hacking, more emphasis on action and less "roll of the dice" style combat.
the game seriously needs something to get me intrested in it. my multiplayer affair will continue to be Halo 3 and maybe some Team fortress and Virtua Fighter 5 while Ninja Gaiden 2 fills that hack n slash void. =)

This is 360's Lair
Etchasketchist @ Oct 6th 2007 4:01PM
That's much better Tony. You should work for their PR department. I shouldn't need translators to cut through the fluff.
Modeps @ Oct 8th 2007 10:05AM
They better release a demo, and that demo better be good. Any game that has been in development almost as long as Duke Nukem Forever needs to really step up and nail it out of the park and right now, the videos and interviews I heard make me not care.
