In a press release that was sent out yesterday, D3 Publisher
announced (maybe somewhat prematurely) that Arcade game
Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords would hitting the XBLA this Wednesday if "
all goes well". The press release didn't mention any other specifics and we haven't heard anything from Microsoft yet, so things could change by the time Wednesday rolls around. But knowing publishers' batting averages as of late, we're confident in saying that come October 10th we'll paying
1200 Microsoft points to play
Puzzle Quest on our Xbox 360. Anyone willing to take up our bet?

Most excellent. I've been holding off on buying the DS version for awhile since I heard it was coming to the XBLA.

I also held off buying the DS version. Looking forward to this one.
P.S. PLEASE ban renatox... it's really, really tiring reading the same thing on every post.

On "on the spot" (gamespot) the developer said (between lips and mouth) it would be released in 5 weeks, and not this week ore the next...
but you never know....
Hoffer @ Oct 6th 2007 2:28PM
They had a developer for the game on Gamespot's On the Spot Thursday. They asked him when it was coming out. He said it was 2, 3 or 4 weeks. After that he held up 1 finger and mouthed 1 week.

I bought the DS version, and will get the XBLA version. Why did I get the DS version? I got it for $8, and I can't take the XBLA version with me on the subway, ya know.

I dunno man, 1200 points is pretty steep.
Hoffer @ Oct 6th 2007 7:04PM
I think 1200 points is actually a pretty good deal. The PSP and DS versions still sell for $20. So, the XBLA version is $5 less and there is multiplayer over Xbox Live.
I hate how people all seem to think that download games should be free or cost next to nothing.
EMaster @ Oct 6th 2007 7:15PM
@9 Perhaps it is cheaper but have you kept in mind that if one desires to re-sell their game because they are bored of it that this is not an option for the individual? I may pay $5 less but that really does me no good when I can't trade the game in. I am not asking for the game to be free. I would definitely pay 800 MS points for it and know I can't trade it in.
Stan @ Oct 8th 2007 7:48AM
Who the hell trades games in? D: That's just stupid.
Jonah Falcon @ Oct 7th 2007 1:04PM
Ah, so you want to trade in your downloadable game?
Tough. If you can't afford $15, what are you doing owning a $400 console with $50-60 games?
driven2sin @ Oct 8th 2007 1:45AM
they rebalanced the game and added achievements plus the multiplayer is going to rock.. $15 is high but works for this release. Plus those guys need a big hit, they have had bad luck for a long time.. give them a break, give them some steam and they'll roll out even better games
