The fourth in Valve's series of Team Fortress 2 class videos has emerged, this time showcasing the Demoman. So far, the Demoman has received very little fanfare, with nary a bit of video footage in sight. Sure, we all like riddling things with bullets as the Heavy, or letting our turrets do it for us as the Engineer, but what about the pure, visceral joy of blowing stuff up? Yeah, the Soldier has a rocket launcher, but what about real explosive death? That's where the Demoman comes in. Rather than spoil the video for you, we'll simply direct you to watch it with your heads full of eyeballs.
It's the only one with a hint at what the gameplay is like and you get to see some of the other classes along side the Demoman. It's because he's black isn't it. hehehehe
"He's jealous all the other classes have two eyes while he's reduced to just one."
Jesus my brain for some reason was ignoring the link between eye patches and not having 2 eyes. I'm an idiot :P
And i have no idea why people keep saying "do black scottish people exist" etc.
a) A black scottish person sounds exactly the same as a white scottish person. He's just born from different coloured parents. If he was raised in a different country then he wont really have a scottish accent at all, he'll have the accent of said previous country (african or jamaican etc). I know (well stereotypically at least) that a black american accent may be different from a white american accent but that doesn't really apply in europe. Dunno why.
b) Black/coloured/asian people are really common in scotland. Even though the general world view of scotland is pasty redheads in kilts, we're actually a pretty ethnic nation.
Unrelated to the video (mostly), but has anybody else noticed that TF2 seems to be TFC with a lot of stuff *removed*? I just got the beta this weekend (after finally beating Metroid Prime 3 -- not enough game time, seriously), and the more I played, the more I felt like the handful of new things (scout double jumps, medic overcharge) are outweighed by the tons of stuff that didn't make it:
* No grenades (!) = no conc-jumps * No det-pack * Can't rotate sentries after building * No "armor" = engy can't repair with wrench * No virus = medic is useless as solo offense
Other than the two minor tweaks I mentioned above, did TF2 actually add *anything*? I'm not exactly disappointed in the money I spent, but still...
Can't wait for the "Meet the Medic" cause I know tha'll be the character I use the most. Man Valve is just really showing how much they truly love the products their making by adding this kind of dept to a multiplayer only game. I hope their's a way to make machinama with this stuff...

I was saying to myself....is that a black scotsmen? Then he says that he is a black scotish cyclops. Ha, that was funny.
Glad they didn't go with a stereotypical gangsta, ebonics accent.
