Puzzle Quest and Yaris now on XBLA

Today is an interesting day for Xbox Live Arcade. We have two new games available, both of which have someting unique to bring to the service. First, there's Puzzle Quest, which is a combination of a role playing game and a puzzle game. Every time players do battle with a monster, they do so by playing a round of Bejeweled. See? Interesting, no? Yaris, on the other hand, presents XBLA with its first advergame. If you're not hip to the latest cars, a Yaris is a vehicle from Toyota. If a free game featuring said vehicle is enough to make you consider purchasing one, then we suppose those marketers will be getting a hefty Christmas bonus this year. You should probably know that a real Yaris won't drive up walls and on ceilings though. Puzzle Quest may be had for the always controversial price of 1200 MS Points. Yaris, as we mentioned above, is free.

Keep in mind that Yaris is only available in USA and Canada.

This is honestly the first time I think the 1200 price point is justified and understandable... (although I guess you could argue Roboblitz, as it was a pretty long game for an XBLA title).

This is indeed a very good XBLA game... so far. :)

Free 200 Gamerscore?
Hells Yes I will.
Already own Puzzle Quest, and I couldn't finish it, it was so... boring.

Been waiting for Puzzle Quest..downloading the demo now. Almost got it for DS months back.
Yaris..hell...why not, ya know? There's Yaris Gamerpics up too..they suck, so don't get 'em.
Right now when it comes to XBLA, there's only two games that interest me, and they're doozies... Castle Crashers and REZ.
Wake me when you need me.

I've played a bit of Puzzle Quest and it's just excellent. I played a lot of the PSP version, but it's nice to play on a TV instead. Some of the bugs seem to be addressed and online multiplayer is a lot of fun.

The Yaris game blows. It's a shooter on rails... AND you can't invert the Y-axis.
However, it DOES increase my awareness of the brand. I will be in the market for a new car if so much as my tire deflates, and, I hate to say it, I would consider a Yaris.

Played both games this morning. Verdict:
At 1200MS points, Puzzle Quest, is undervalued. Damn good price for this game.
At Zero MS points for Yaris, it's still overpriced. This game blows so hard, it ought to hurt advertising.

puzzle quest was great on DS. I don't know if I want to pay for it again though. maybe if the cheating AI has been toned down some.

Yaris sucks so bad, I vow to teamkill anyone I see who earns 200 gamerpoints from it.
Even if it's a single-player game.

Intrigued by Puzzle Quest. Can someone tell me more about the Questy part? Puzzle I think I understand. I'm almost done with all the achievements in Puzzle Fighter (those chains are hard!) and I'll be on the look out for some more Puzzler action soon.

Anyone else have this problem - I use two 360s and switch harddrives. I purchased puzzlequest on one xbox and played for 12 lvls. Then I moved upstairs, brought my harddrive, signed on (and onto live) and started up Puzzle Quest and it sees it as the demo. But only in game, on the dashboard it sees it as the full version.
