SVR 2007, was pretty fun. I think its a pretty underrated fun party game. If you at some point in your life have enjoyed watching professional wrestling, then you definitely can get enjoyment out of this game while beating up your friends. They definitely pulled off the come from behind feeling and fun that a lot of wrestling matches have.
2007 had its control bugs with some of the more fun game types, which if they get fixed in this version would be awesome.

They really changed the controls. They seem to be closer to a fighting game now. I'm not sure I like it.
Of course NONE of that matters if they don't allow custom music in the game. It's why I wanted wrestling on the 360 in the first place. I don't give a crap about the WWE wrestlers, but it's fun to make my own roster and use my own entrance music, and so far the Smackdown series has been disappointing in that regard.
I'd also like to see a decent announcer system in place. If the godawful wrestling games from other companies a full generation ago could get it right, why can't THQ? Legends of Wrestling did that right, but had crappy wrestling.
They keep ignoring what the gamers want, and instead keep giving us tweaked in-game controls. Screw that! I just want the SvR engine with the ability to use my own music and have my wrestler's name and hometown announced before a match in a SEASON MODE.
We're not the Japanese, Yukes. We Americans like CUSTOMIZATION and OPEN-ENDEDNESS in our games. We don't like everything being done for us, all the character traits being pre-determined, and for our involvement to be minimized and "simplified".
If EA can get it sort of right in their boxing and football games, why can't THQ get it right in their wrestling games?
And why can't someone make a decent Virtua Fighter style game with the same customization features and build-your-own fighters? All the ones that let you make your own fighter are sucky, and the "custom" fighter is basically just a re-skin of someone else already in the game.
CUSTOMIZATION, guys. GET IT RIGHT!

If we can't use custom music i'm passing on this just like the last game.
Keyth.Halloween knows the deal exactly.

Custom music was confirmed ages ago, just on the 360 platform. PS3 users get first person entrances...lol they got ripped off.
