Well, the first shaky-cam video anyway. The folks over at Capcom Digital have posted a cell phone video of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix being played by a pair of employees. It's a classic Ken vs. Ryu match, and even with though it's low quality footage, it looks like the game is coming along nicely. In short, it's Street Fighter alright. Capcom Digital notes that this is the remix mode, in which characters have received a few tweaks, though only hardcore players are likely to notice them. Also, note the (optional) remixed music in the background. There really isn't that much more to say, as the whole HD part is sort of the most important piece of the puzzle. Without a high resolution video, all of that is lost. Still, footage is footage. Enjoy.
Also, I'm glad to see this is true widescreen. I swear I had heard that they weren't going to be doing that despite pushing it to HD. The only real shame here is that they won't be updating the animation because I think the lack of frames is even more obvious now.
This is just a remix of Super Street Fighter II Turbo. It's not a new title. Character wise, you can't look at the entire series, you can only look what was in the original game this was based off of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Street_Fighter_II_Turbo
why oh why would anyone want this. it just sports higher res sprites. it's the same game we've all played 15 years ago. no newer content or frames of animation. just choppy high res art that is either good (ryu most likely) or bad (guile cammy).

Does anyone know if this is going to be an XBLA game or an actual retail game?
Tony @ Oct 19th 2007 1:42PM
It's XBLA and PSN. I'd hope 800 points.

I guess since it is only XBLA it won't get a increase in fighters. Anyone know the fighter count for Street Fighter IV????

Looks like it's gonan be gorgeous, too bad they couldn't add a few more frames of animation on the transitions
Neil @ Oct 19th 2007 2:18PM
The video is too low res to really be able to get anything out of it, but I'm still hyped about the game.

They better bring out a joystick for this game. The 360 controller is absolutely abysmal for street fighter

still got streetfighter on the snes so y would i pay out for more of the same. i'm not that much of a fan to justify the expense.

exactly, i wouldn't even count this as "novelty" material. just a plug to buy UDON comics.
