Just when we thought we ran out of ideas on how to express our love for the Xbox 360 to the general public, shoe maker
Heelys comes to the rescue. The shoe you see above is part of their "Gamer" collection which which is set to release next month and obviously take inspiration from the Xbox 360's controller. Ah heck with inspiration, the Heely company took a hammer to controller, smashed it up real good and stuck random buttons on the bottom of the shoe. Then again, we're sure it's a tad more scientific and professional than that. Anyway, we haven't come up with an official opinion on these Xbox 360 themed sneakers just yet, but when we do we'll be sure to praise or bash them accordingly. Though, it would be nice to always have a spare controller at
hand foot.

kineticonline @ Oct 19th 2007 4:56PM
Would have been better with the guide button instead of that random power button, but still a good present for the 360 mad kids
Kryptinite @ Oct 19th 2007 4:59PM
that would be awesome if they came in a size 14
bigmac375 @ Oct 19th 2007 4:59PM
perfect example of a failed use of form and function.
Melchezidek @ Oct 19th 2007 5:04PM
Kotaku panned these things, but I think they are sweet. A cool way to express my 360 love. Plus, my 9 year old son (who will be getting a pair for Christmas) will effing LOVE these.
purefuzz @ Oct 19th 2007 5:16PM
Ok i just don't get it. these just don't appeal to me in the slightest, but if they do then carry on i guess. more money into more games
Whocares @ Oct 19th 2007 6:19PM
Would be nice if da shoe was actually a wireless controller
Smacksmackums @ Oct 19th 2007 8:42PM
Yeah, they're kinda lame, but I'd still totally rock those things if they came in my size. When do they hit the shelves?
They're lame in that cool hipster trendy sort of way - like rocking a pokeman watch that says random things to you and makes pikachu noises... not that I ever did that.

looks like someone in the heelys marketing department needs to throw themselves off a tall building ASAP.
Kamizar @ Oct 19th 2007 10:13PM
Some of those shoes aint half bad...
matjet @ Oct 19th 2007 10:20PM
it'd be cool if this actually worked as a makeshift controller. go over to a freinds house who doesn't have spare controllers. no problem, play with your shoe.
Tegolin @ Oct 19th 2007 10:58PM
Well, Nerf (The foam dart gun people) made a wireless PS2 controller already.
Mr Cool @ Oct 19th 2007 10:57PM
will these shoes overheat and get the RROD?
I dont want my feet to suffer any serious burns ;)
Gemini Ace @ Oct 20th 2007 12:33AM

now theres something to be said for a fashion statement that has "geek" written all over it...

Hey dustin, this is Naughty Nooby. Sorry about that grav hammers game earlier (valhalla) where my friend kicked you out. He wanted to keep it more private, nothing personal.
mietha CAG @ Oct 20th 2007 2:11AM
My god those are ******* lame. I want a black pair so bad...
bighit24 @ Oct 20th 2007 12:07PM
Anyone willing to wear those to school are begging to be beaten up. Only TOTAL nerds would wanna wear a shoe that looks like a game console. I love XBox 360 but mature, regular people need to draw a line of where their gaming stops...
RudyHuxtable @ Oct 20th 2007 1:29PM
I can't think of enough negative SAT words to say about those shoes. If you take off your shoe and tap the "buttons" do you get cheat codes at life?
Making Xbox 360 sneakers is like making New York Yankees soccer balls or a Signature Liberace BowFlex.
demonphreak01 @ Oct 20th 2007 8:46PM
As much as I dislike heelys, those are pretty cool
alex @ Nov 5th 2007 12:34AM
Lame idea? Sure! But how could anyone possibly call them ugly?!!!
