Halo 3's undead Halloween treat revealed

Bungie revealed last Friday that they had a special treat in line for Halo 3 players this Halloween and now Frankie has made the treat known to the slavering masses. Fitting in with the season, the Halloween treat is a special 27 hour playlist in matchmaking that involves (what else?) zombies. The playlist features nothing but the Infection gametype and will be available starting October 31st at 12:01am PST and ending November 1st at 3:00am PST. The playlist will use Forge edited maps created by Bungie. These maps feature special changes that benefit the Infection gametype, things like fortifications for the human team. Perhaps best of all, the playlist will be ranked and players will be able to unlock multiplayer achievements inside it. Let's think about that: four players all rushing you, staring down the business end of your rocket launcher. Hello Overkill Achievement. Hit the "read" link for all the dirty details.

Using PST is for the gay. if you use EST, the better coast of the two gets to play a bit late at midnight, and the pacific coasters get to play from 9pm on.
I never really understood why companies release things using midnight PST, because it is pretty inconvenient for everyone else in the US; and typically that is your market, not just the west coast.

Wha.. people are still playing halo 3? Man I got bored with that crap playing it for like 2 or 3 hours at a friends when I was debating on getting the crap. I guess promos are needed to keep people interested in such a bland fps.
But I digress, it is a console FPS afterall, can't expect much out of it; I let myself think they might actually make a good one this time too, pfft.

The reason that Bungie uses PST is because they refer to it as BST, Bungie Standard Time. I'm pretty sure it falls somewhere in their scheme for World Domination.

1. I was making a play on words from FTW/FTL.
2. gay is commonly used as a term meaning queer/awkward, get with the times. It doesn't mean anyones being homophobic.
3. I spoke from a purely business standpoint, what makes the most logical sense to please all of your fans.
4.I wasn't being smug, everyone thinks their coast is better. If you live in the middle you have no opinion on the matter. Enjoy your miles of corn fields/mountains.

Well I don't have Halo 3 and dont know when i'll be getting it, why? Because I'm still loving Bioshock, Orange Box and yes even my beloved Gears, but it looks like i'm missing out on getting some of those harder multiplayer Cheevs. Good work though bungie, gotta love developers that think like gamers!!!
Also stop all this arguing, one day Id like to come onto a comment board where people aren't arguing about off topic things.
Also if anyone cares to please convince me why I need to rush to the store and get Halo 3. I know there's forger and the saved game videos but is there anything about the actual games play that I will never get from the afore mentioned games?

Got it!!!! All my online achievements are done!! Got Mongoose Mowdown in my first game on the third try! Now two golden skulls, 6 meta-game levels and last but not least Legendary for all 1000 gamerscore.
I'm so proud of my Mowdown it's all over my file share!
