Which MP maps we'd like to see remade for Halo 3

After stumbling across MLG's article on the top five Halo multiplayer maps they'd like to see remade for Halo 3 it got us thinking. It got us thinking about what maps we wish Bungie would bring to Halo 3. MLG member Brick's list of maps is pretty decent and includes such "gems" like Midship and Colossus (eww!), but we're opinionated bloggers here and can sum up our map wants in four words ... Ivory Tower and Turf. Yup, those are the two maps we will bend over backwards for and are the two maps we'd go gah-gah over if they were remade in full Halo 3 glory. Yeah, there are other good ones out there, but darnit if we aren't in love with our Ivory Tower and Turf. Case closed!

But not really, because we're sort of curious to hear from you what maps you'd like to see remade for Halo 3. Tell us what you think, list your favs and there's a small chance that if Bungie reads this they'll bring back Chiron TL-34 (crossing fingers and toes).

I agree... Loved Turf.... especially in team sniper.... and also Relic for the same reason.

but you know what... Id love to see some of the Halo: CE maps... just for the fact that a vast majority of people have never played any of them and they would all feel very "fresh"

I would definitely love to see Sidewinder make a comeback. Also, I miss Relic and Turf a lot. I would love to see Turf remade like they did Zanzibar and make it where you can get to the top of the buildings (without super bouncing) which would make for definite interesting gameplay. Also... how about a true Lockout remake? That was easily the best map for Halo 2 and yet... we get Guardian? Can that even be called a Halo map? It's horrible. Almost as bad as Isolation or Snowbound. And a Beaver Creak remake would be sweet. This is the first Halo game it hasn't been in. :(

Also, why is it that there aren't any indoor maps? Everything is so spacious and outdoors, no close combat in necessary for the most part. I'd like to see something like Midship or Gemini make a comback.

Turf, Relic, and Warlock. I find myself just playing team slayer because i find the new maps to be much worse for CTF and assault

Since H3 is far more advanced with custom game options and addiion of forge, why not bring them all back. some of us have been playing for a long time and liked almost ever map ever made especially chillout, rat race, boarding action, collossus, and hang em. we still put H1 and H2 in at lan parties. who care about balance. Those that wish to use them will keep everything in check and balanced (for teh most part)

i agree whole-heartedly with klitchls: gimme DAMNATION!! i was SO disappointed it wasn't remade for halo 2. now's the time to bring back that classic. really, since this is supposedly the last halo, how about remaking EVERY map eventually? how about that?!

what is so great about bloody gultch/coagulation?

Valhalla is exactly like those maps besides the teleportation, which i think the Man Cannons are fairer. The teleporters where basically camping deathtraps.

Valhalla is a perfect substitution for bloody gultch/coagulation.

I think no map from Halo 2 should be remade. We can play Halo 2 on Xbox Live. And I wouldn't like to see Ivory Tower because we have a similar map (which is much better, IMO) in Construct. Turf would be cool, though, if we could use the rooftops, as someone suggested above. I thought, originally, that was how it was planned. I'd love to see Sidewinder back, and I'd like to see a map with the idea of Chiron but not necessarily a remake. Oh, and how awesome would Boarding Action be with man cannons!?

One more thing: Everyone loves Lockout so much, but I really don't know why. It was the easiest map to camp in. Get the sword and sit at the sniper tower. Game over. And we have enough problems with everyone complaining about camping as it is.

Definitely Foundation. Halo 3 is in dire need of small maps like that for frenzied action. In fact, the great thing about foundation was playing four team capture the flag.

Boarding Action with man cannons would be excellent. That was the first Halo map I ever played (sans man cannon).

I think they are remaking LOCKOUT since they did a bungie interview and they said that Guardian was not Lockout.

They should rebuild all of the maps from Halo 1 and 2, and put them out in a few months at full price. I would be willing to pay $65 for like 25 maps redone with the new H3 engine, espically since H1 was not LIVE multiplayer.

I gravitate towards it because it is the quintessential 1 on 1 map (w/ shotguns). "Camping" doesn't really come into play in this scenario.

Halo 3 unfortunately doesn't seem to have any good 1 on 1 maps. Guardian is close, but just not quite right for some reason.

if they redo any maps from halo 2, i wouldn't be upset if they didn't change them. some of them are classic & i'd pay to play them as is (with better graphics...)

terminal, sidewinder, headlong, waterworks, containment, prisoner, lockout, chillout

there were some maps for halo 1 for the PC that were awesome as well
