DORITOS Dash of Destruction wins Unlock Xbox

After months of submitting, waiting, revealing, more waiting, playing and some final waiting the Doritos sponsored Unlock Xbox contest has officially come to an end. And we survived. The winning submission ended up being Mike Borland's dinosaur delivery game called DORITOS Dash of Destruction which will be fully developed and placed onto the Xbox Live Arcade sometime early next year for all to enjoy. You can preview what Dash of Destruction has to offer by trying out the demo over at the Unlock Xbox website. We aren't sure how (for the lack of a better word) cheesy the game will end up being, but it'll be free and will be used to market a product. So really ... how bad could it be? ::cough:: Yaris ::cough::

Dude, you can't even talk smack about yaris... Once you have an achievement in yaris, you become one with the yaris.

The demo of it online was OK. I was kind of hoping for that PB game mostly because the system needs more platformers... even potentially mediocre ones.

Part of me is a little optimistic about this since Ninja Bee (from what I read?) is involved.

Man those games were all junk, it doesn't matter which one won, we lose. Also does nobody else think its strange that ALL of the finalists were made by the same company (according to joystiq). There must have been better entries, there simply must have been

as long as there's no 'collect 1mln coins'. i avoided yaris because i didn't' feel like having to grind like a mofo just to get the full 200/200

If it's free then it's an easy download for me. I dunno why people always bitch about free games...you didn't pay for it, what does it matter? Yaris sucked, sure, but did it cost you anything? .. No .. Aegis Wing was awesome also, but I wouldn't have paid for it...

What's with all the hate over free things? Rarely is anything free these days, you should all embrace what little we can still get...
