In news that won't totally shock or awe you, we have semi-confirmation of a few games Activision is working on and are headed down the development pipeline. Activision games that include
Call of Duty 5,
Guitar Hero IV, new
James Bond, new
Tony Hawk, new Dreamworks titles, new
Marvel titles and a Bizarre racing game. All these sequels are mentioned in a
fact sheet posted over on Activision Blizzard's newly live website under Activision's "pipeline includes" section. No dates, no time frames or other specifics are mentioned in the fact sheet other than the confirmation that the games exist and are being worked on. Again, nothing earth-shattering here, but it's still exciting game announcement stuff.

Is Infinity Ward doing COD5 or are they still doing the one-on, one-off method?
vanhelsingh @ Dec 3rd 2007 1:14PM
wait, a new james bond game?
xenocidic @ Dec 3rd 2007 1:40PM
seemingly, but what does that have to do with my comment?
DjDATZ @ Dec 3rd 2007 3:33PM
he just wanted to be amongst the first comments...lol noob
Boff @ Dec 4th 2007 6:50AM
If it's not done by IW then it won't be a must-buy for me anymore.
And if the horrible rumours are true about it being WW2 then it'll be a DEFINITE do-not-buy for me.
Sorry but the old-style shit doesn't interest me at all
Joe @ Dec 3rd 2007 10:53AM
Guitar Hero IV will have free-form worlds, where you must perfect three challenges from skateboarding to driving before playing a gig. This part will have Bam Margera and Gerard Way as bosses, who will try to destroy your shows.
The setlist will include Slipknot, Linkin Park, and a new original piece for Expert players called "TripleChordRape".
Cameron @ Dec 3rd 2007 10:54AM
Great now we're getting Shrek Inc or some shit. Awesome COD5 by the way Future Warfare? Hmmm Hmmmm.
ericdrum @ Dec 3rd 2007 11:01AM
Back when Nelson Rodriguez didn't work for MS (and many months before CoD4 was released), he leaked that he was on an airplane and saw some dude reading a CoD5 document with pictures and everything. He said it was in fact NOT modern combat, but WW2 era. For some reason and I can't remember for sure, I want to say that it was NOT and IW product either, but I can't be sure on that.
Matt @ Dec 3rd 2007 4:07PM
The title he gave was Call of Duty V: Victory, and he said it looked like a WW2 game.
dunnypop @ Dec 3rd 2007 11:01AM
yay.... GH 4 will probably be called Even More Legends of Rock... and have David Lee Roth, and boss battles with Jack White, and probably Jimi Hendrix, or Santana... that's about it. and online - coop tour mode.
seriously though. GH 3 was such a dissapointment, GH 4 better be better than Rock Band (which I doubt).
Matt @ Dec 3rd 2007 11:08AM
I'll be passing on any non-IW COD games from now on and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Jonah Falcon @ Dec 3rd 2007 11:11AM
Guitar Hero IV will probably include the MASSIVE U.M.G. song catalog.
DjDATZ @ Dec 3rd 2007 11:11AM
a new racing title? booya...hope its a realistic game like forza 2. :D
Sam @ Dec 3rd 2007 3:19PM
i may be wrong on this, but Microsoft could own the rights to project gotham racing, pgr, etc and there just making the same game under a different moniker. Kinda like...MSR became PGR.
Aero @ Dec 3rd 2007 11:21AM
I saw this in my RSS feeds and thought Bizarre creations were making a racing game. Now I'm sad. : (
Teabag @ Dec 3rd 2007 11:40AM
More CoD goodness! Honestly, i don't really care if it's WWII shooter or modern warfare. If it is as good as CoD 4, then we are all set and i am all sold!
TORO @ Dec 3rd 2007 12:28PM
I'm on the same boat, COD 4 is hella fun. As long as it's made by IW then it will be a must get game.
Flash2000 @ Dec 3rd 2007 12:33PM
Call of Duty 5 should take place in the future and involve time travel, so you go to all the different eras of major war in this country. Start with the Revolution and end in the future fighting robots. Oh yeeeah.
BlackBeltJones @ Dec 3rd 2007 12:37PM
commenter 4 is right, I heard the same podcast where nelson talked about it. Cod5 is going back to WW2 (see: beating a dead horse) and I'm fairly sure that Treyarch (Cod3, blegghhh) is doing it.
erivera3 @ Dec 3rd 2007 12:47PM
Would probably be a HUGE mistake to go back to WW2 for COD5, but then again they seem to be very comfortable in that era so we'll see.
Jon @ Dec 3rd 2007 12:51PM
blaghh WW2 again? Someone make an interesting civil war game.
Matt @ Dec 3rd 2007 4:11PM
Civil war is tough for a game because the weapons really sucked.
Jon @ Dec 3rd 2007 12:54PM
Better yet, lets start a new war so we can have a new COD theater.... USA invades Canada FTW!!!!!
(damnit, now I want to watch Canadian Bacon
"...I'll tell ya another thing, their beer sucks!")
Jon @ Dec 3rd 2007 12:57PM
Best quote: (man describing the National Tower) "It is the height of six American football fields, or five Canadian football fields. As if Canadian football really counts. "
Terd Ferguson @ Dec 3rd 2007 1:40PM
I wish they would call it something else besides Call of duty. Only the people in the know seem to be able to figure out that one is treyarch the other is Infinity ward.
Even the fanboys have trouble.
I wonder how the people at Inifinity Ward feel about sharing their main title name with another company.
It's just confusing for the gaming community, constantly having to explain the difference to people who are suddenly pissed that the game won't be as good as cod4. Which happened with cod2 and cod3.
Justin @ Dec 3rd 2007 2:44PM
If infinity ward doesnt do COD5 i wont be buying it me thinks
DjDATZ @ Dec 3rd 2007 3:28PM
he just wanted to be amongst the first comments seeing as he commented 2 and a half hours after the story was posted...lol noob
DjDATZ @ Dec 3rd 2007 3:36PM
dammit...i forgot to press the reply button. what a n00b.
xenocidic @ Dec 3rd 2007 6:05PM
lol yea, you look awful n00bish way down here,
haha!
Granteezy @ Dec 3rd 2007 4:06PM
They better make Guitar Hero 4 a little more immersive than GH3. I really hope they take a cue from Rock Band and provide a better career mode. And don't make the characters look so ridiculous this time!
sparkchronic @ Dec 3rd 2007 7:36PM
im more excited about the marvel titles
