You can have up to 5 multiplayer, in which everyone has a stack of chips. You lose and gain chips depending on how well you do. Winner is the guy who owns everyone else's chips.
Richard Mitchell @ Dec 5th 2007 10:17AM
Still, it never says online. Just that 5 players can have a tournament.
Jonah Falcon @ Dec 5th 2007 2:54PM
I can email you the devs email addy so you can ask them directly.
Jonah Falcon @ Dec 5th 2007 3:00PM
Just realized how silly it is to say "It has up to 5 player multiplayer... is it online?" (grin)

The art style actually looks nice.
Frank @ Dec 4th 2007 8:39PM
Looks fun actually, one of the few arcade games I'm actually excited for before it comes out!
alex @ Dec 4th 2007 10:08PM
No on line multiplayer? Forget it. HELLLO people! Isnt the reason we buy XBLA games is because of the fact that YOU CAN PLAY ON LINE, LIKE ON MULTIPLAYER. Even if this was free I wouldnt waste my time on split screen. SPLITSCREEN DEWDS. Please someone tell me that this is some kind of joke
Ren @ Dec 5th 2007 3:25AM
No, I buy them because they'd seem like a fun game to play. Online or no.
Darkharmony @ Dec 5th 2007 2:56PM
Yeah I'm not sure maybe we're in the minority but I think most people (like Ren and I) buy a game because it will be fun to play. Truth be told I don't get on to play against someone. Usually when I try to I find no one there. Guess that's why I still need a online win in puzzle quest.
Jonah Falcon @ Dec 5th 2007 2:56PM
There's online play, so you can get your head out of the oven. (grin)
Calsonic @ Dec 4th 2007 10:35PM
Me and my friends will get a kick out of this. I'll buy it.
Jonah Falcon @ Dec 5th 2007 2:56PM
Yes, there IS online tournament mode:
"POKER SMASH currently has 4 Singleplayer modes and 2 Multiplayer modes. Singleplayer consists of Action Mode, Puzzle Mode, Practice Mode, and Custom Theme Mode. Multiplayer supports up to 5 people in an Xbox Live Tounament Mode as well as a Local Splitscreen Mode."
mike @ Dec 5th 2007 5:11PM
This looks like tetris attack except with poker hands added in as well. Very exciting imo. The only problem I see is the cursor is a single box with an arrorw (which im sure changes depending on what direction your coming from, frather then a double box. This means unfotunetly the action will be slower then tetris attack, which could very well ruin the game.
ill give the demo a shot tho.
Jonah Falcon @ Dec 5th 2007 5:23PM
You can also lay bombs on the board as well.
The Baron @ Dec 15th 2007 2:32AM
Hello!
@mike.. Actually the single cursor makes it so that you can play it even faster than Tetris Attack. Currently the record combo is 80X as far as multipliers go.
And yes it has online play as well. Up to five different people can battle it out over Xbox Live.
