Halo 3 matchmaking playlist updates detailed

Bungie sends word that with the Heroic Map Pack 's release next Tuesday, December 11th they'll usher in a new matchmaking playlist update as well. We've known about this mini update for a while now and it'll add a new Heroic Map Pack playlist as well as make tweaks to the current offerings by adding new gametypes, etc. Then, come December 18th, another playlist update will be unleashed bringing Team Hardcore to the mix, an overhaul of Team Objective and a new playlist called Team Control. And if that wasn't enough, Bungie promises to release another matchmaking playlist update in January that'll feature ranked Big Team Battle. Got that? Team Sniper is in the rotation for Team Slayer. But if you're wanting it also as a standalone playlist, I'm with you on that. I'm still waiting for the return of Team S.W.A.T., even if it just hits the social lists.

No... Team Shotty Snipes is in the rotation. Not Team Snipes. The shotty aspect takes away the skill involved with no-scoping which, I think, ruins the game. They need to bring back Team Snipes as a gametype, I think

Any one know if they fixed it so you can talk to the other team in ranked matches? I got Halo 3 in September but never really played the multi because I couldn't talk to the other team.

i'd rather not half to press to talk than talk to the other team. besides you can get your smack talk in after the game.

I cant believe you just said that its there so you dont trash talk the other team or hear there srats. it provides more team play and en the end is more professional if you want to trash talk the other team play social simple as that.

However these new playlist updates sound awesome and ill be playing them alot.

When I played, there was nothing professional about it. Although it's not just the the voice, or even the online mode. Halo 3 just sucks ass compared to Halo 2.

Infection ranked... it needs to happen. After the Halloween special, I can't get enough Infection, which is unfortunate that I never get enough people in to actually have a good game.

ranked BTB sounds awesome, I'm the king of drawing fire and providing support for my team at the cost of my own life, and it would be nice to see some reward for that...

I was the "BIGGEST" fan, well maybe not the biggest - but I loved Halo2. At the beginning I loved Halo 3. I wondered why I never got a map with cool new weapons or cool new vehicles but. . .i was okay with it.

So now I realize that all the new weapons, vehicles, etc. aren't in multiplayer. I'm not sure if they want us to buy maps to get things like deployable cover and fire grenades. . . or these weapons they have created are so poorly designed they can't be used in multiplayer

Halo 3 is only Halo 2.5 when it comes to multiplayer. Not enough new content to keep me going - and i'm not going to put another cent into this experience.
