Got them about a hour ago UK very fast download lucky got them
Guy4 @ Dec 11th 2007 10:15AM
If I buy these maps, the game will suddenly turn into a $70 purchase.....so no thanks.
Malleus @ Dec 11th 2007 10:22AM
Well I think if you are an avid Halo player then the price is worth it because you know you are going to get hours and hours of enjoyment out of the maps. I mean you can't even get into a movie for 10 bucks these days and thats a whole 2 hours of entertainment.
On the other hand if you are busy playing other stuff or don't play halo regularly then it would probably just be best to wait till they are free. At least they will be free in the spring.
TORO @ Dec 11th 2007 10:44AM
Good point Malleus, people are so cheap nowadays.
Guy4 @ Dec 11th 2007 12:55PM
I 100% expected that comment to come... about being 'cheap' because I'm not impatient :|
I can't afford 10 $ @ Dec 11th 2007 1:11PM
Your clearly a c*cksnatch, pony up the ten dollars or shut up.

Guy4 @ Dec 11th 2007 1:18PM
It's ' you're '. You're welcome...

It's "I'm patient" : your welcome Dr. Spellcheck.

Bought and downloaded the map-pack at 5 am this morning, just because I wanted to avoid some of the rush to get it. It took only two and a half hours but it's ready for me now:)
I feel for everyone in the bad icy weather, but I'm going to gladly postpone the H3 'pack for awhile and enjoy myself, since it's 62 degrees in Cincinnati today and I'm going out to enjoy it while I can. (Going to below freezing on Thursday again.) Such is Ohio weather!
itsburnsie @ Dec 11th 2007 12:10PM
The weather here SUCKS today... and I was tempted to just call in to work and tell them I wasn't going to make it.
Could have played the new maps, but oh well, they're waiting for me when I get home... :-)
BobTheMonkey @ Dec 11th 2007 10:27AM
Is the Halo DLC matchmaking hopper up yet? I checked it this morning, and I didn't see it.
nerrrrrrd @ Dec 11th 2007 10:53AM
When I purchased Halo 3 from Best Buy, I was able to purchase $20 worth of BillyBucks for $5... so I've convinced myself this map pack is only going to cost me $2.50 :)
sp3cialk @ Dec 11th 2007 10:54AM
I downloaded the pack and ran through the maps before work... they look like they will be fun. I hope they do put up a special hopper with just the new maps in it. Oh well.. see you guys online.
ThatDudeReeg @ Dec 11th 2007 12:06PM
I'll be waiting til Spring. I have plenty of COD4 to play before I even think about wasting $10 on some maps.
Chuckles @ Dec 11th 2007 12:19PM
This is pretty much my exact feeling. I like COD4 much better right now and will get back to Halo after some time, but because of this can easily wait for these to be free. Now if new maps for COD come out.... that is more of a must buy for me personally.
TORO @ Dec 11th 2007 12:49PM
I hop on back and forth between these games, I think they both offer a unique experience. Halo's gameplay is Halo and hasn't changed much over the years (which is good), and COD 4 focuses on intense realism battles.
I'm happy that I can play and enjoy both games very much. $10 is chump change so I'll buy em'
ThatDudeReeg @ Dec 11th 2007 1:33PM
$10 is chump change? Either your too young or have a good steady income. Not saying $10 is life or death, but shit, I can think of plenty of things for $10 that I would need/buy before spending it on videogame multiplayer maps.
TORO @ Dec 11th 2007 2:20PM
Good income, but $10 not that much common now.
Theatre ticket: $9.50
Drink and Popcorn at theatre: $9
2 value meals at McD's: $10
1/4 gas: $10 (being generous here)
bottle of wine: $10
X3F pie: $10
Heroic Map Pack: priceless + $10
Whatever I really don't care, if you can't afford them or rather play a different game that's understandable ;) but $10 is not a lot of money nowadays
David W. @ Dec 11th 2007 1:02PM
Anyone know how to turn on the fire they showed on RvB? I can't figure it out!!
bnun @ Dec 11th 2007 1:17PM
To get the flame on your helemt, there's a switch you have to activate, its out by the Peilcan on the new map Rat's Nest.
:-|
David W. @ Dec 11th 2007 1:44PM
ummm...I can't find this switch you speak of?
joemc72 @ Dec 11th 2007 3:36PM
I thought the flame helmet was something unique to Bungie employees and friends....
Dragod @ Dec 11th 2007 3:35PM
48% downloaded :D
Honestly, this is a great value. New content = More stuff to do. More stuff to do = More time playing. More time playing = More fun.
Well worth $10 if you ask me.
SToNeP2277 @ Dec 11th 2007 5:24PM

David W. @ Dec 11th 2007 11:31PM

Gemini Ace @ Dec 11th 2007 5:33PM

Nubs @ Dec 12th 2007 10:18AM

(Credit cards can get people in trouble, i don't believe in them)
Andrew @ Dec 11th 2007 6:39PM
So you don't use a debit card either? What do you do, write checks? Or do you have 100's in a box under your bed?
