GTAIV dated April 25 for the UK says MCV

According to MCV, "senior industry sources" have intimated that the UK release of Grand Theft Auto IV will not be in March as previously expected, but rather on April 25. Naturally, Rockstar refused to comment on the speculation when contacted by MCV. Assuming the sources are correct, this would put GTAIV's release in the very last week of the second fiscal quarter for the game's publisher Take Two. This lines up well with previous statements from Take Two head Strauss Zelnick, who noted last month that the release would be, "sometime between the beginning of February and the end of April." It's also worth noting that an April 25 release in the UK would likely put the title on US shores somewhat earlier. Don't expect Take Two or Rockstar to talk anytime soon either, as one source expects them to wait until "two or three weeks before release" to divulge more information.

Fantastic, a week after my birthday so I wont feel so guilty about not really being able to afford it! :-D
I swear there's something else coming to the UK in April but i can't for the life of me think what it might be, either way hopefully this date sticks, would be good to have a solid date to plan for rather than just the 'feb-april' we've had til now...

Maybe it's the deluge of games that have hit already and the tsunami of newer titles in '08, but I'm really not super excited about GTA IV yet. Looking back, I was never too excited about any of the GTA games, and there's really no clear reason for it in my mind. I enjoy the series, don't get me wrong..but I'm not too amped or anything.
I'm more into Silent Hill 5, Fallout 3, Project Offset and maybe Turok.

Whoa, slow down there. Are you pissed that no-one's estimated your american release date yet? I remember Rockstar saying that it would be a worldwide release, and considering the game is developed here in the UK, I doubt that it'll be more than a couple of days earlier.

That helicopter pic reminded me of The Matrix. Especially with the skyscraper behind it.
I'm looking forward to this, but nowhere near as excited as I was in the beginning. That's mainly down to 3 things:- Crackdown, Saint's Row and not jumping on the Hype Train cos you'll only be disappointed.
But yeah, I'll have to have it in my collection ;o)
