Reminder: Europe can rent 300 in HD for 100 points

Just a reminder for fanboys in Europe. The previously announced 300 for 100 Microsoft point movie rental promotion has kicked off today and today only. Right now on Europe's new Video Marketplace you can rent 300 in HD for the super low price of 100 points just as a way to get you to try out the service. We approve of cheap movie rentals (especially a blockbuster like 300) and are actually jealous of Europe's 100 point rental. Oh well, we'll make it. This special offer is only good today, December 28th, so get renting and enjoy.

Xboxic is reporting there's an issue, though: the SD price has been reduced, but the HD price hasn't. The rumor now is, because of this little goof, the offer may be extended.

Yes, it's just the SD-version for 100 points. The HD is still the old price.
And it isn't even the whole movie, it's a cut-version...there are 5 minutes missing.
That's why i decided not to rent it.

Yeah I checked this when i got up this morning and the standard version was 100 points, HD was 540 (or some other crazy amount)

I downloaded the movie in HD today (yes, i paid 540 points for it), i thought it was the SD price that was going down all along but i got it in HD to test my new tv. i feel gutted. If the price goes down i'll give the MS support line a bell, try and get a refund.

Would be great to download 300 but looks like xbox live is down right now, i have 12 friends here that can't sign in. Support says they are having issues with live too..

I spent my last 100 points downloading the HD version which they fixed last night. I left overnight at 11% downloaded and when i turned on my xbox this morning, it said 0%, then "Can't download" I got no explanation and no refund.
WTH Microsoft.

I had exactly the same problem. I spent hours late last night trying to sort it out. I've had to delete the incomplete movie download from the Memory Management part of the system blade and start the download again. (Fortunately I wasn't charge twice.) In fact it's still downloading now - all 5.1Gb of it!

I think the problems were due to Live being generally knackered over the past few days.

Needless to say I won't be downloading any more movies from the service.

Just a comment about "Europe" xbox market place news. As a Spaniard and European, I am getting tired of all the podcast and webpages saying "Europe" has video marketplace, etc. Europe has more than 30 countries, and only 4 have videomarketplace. Please, stop calling Europe when you are refering to only 4 countries of the continent.
I don't see any gamer from Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherland, Sweden, Norway, Poland.. -I guess I should stop here- downloading any video contentfrom xboxlive.
