The cool cats over at
MAXCONSOLE dug up some dirt on
Unreal Tournament 3 today and are reporting that
this German magazine has some release date details. The German magazine "confirms" that
UT3 for the Xbox 360 is about 90% complete and should make its way to retail shelves this Spring. April 2008 to be more specific. And we guess an April release doesn't seem all that far fetched seeing that the PS3 version of
UT3 released earlier this month and would have a solid four month timed exclusive run. We also know that the 360 version has been in development alongside the PS3 version for a while now and that Epic should be getting back into the development swing of things after their
holiday vacations. You know what? Meh to it all. Let's just wait for more concrete details before bustin' out the box of
UT3 excitement. Agreed?

JakubK666 @ Dec 31st 2007 11:15AM
Too bad that PC Gamers and PS3 owners are playing it already...wish I had a better PC :(
TORO @ Dec 31st 2007 11:15AM
Is this game even good??? I know what most fans say, it's a PC game...
john paul @ Dec 31st 2007 11:18AM
i really am not hyped up for thius game
i played the game on the ps3
it was a horrible pc port and should have never come to the consoles
but.... i still respect epic and i hope they do a good job on it
DeadPlasmaCell @ Dec 31st 2007 11:45AM
I'm still hopeful on the 360 version.. I played the PS3 version and the frame rate sucked and the PS controller sucks for FPS', IMO. Hopefully the 360 version will be tolerable... God bless GameFly
Orenthol @ Dec 31st 2007 12:57PM
You know.. even if the PS3 pad sucks with it.. it still lets you use a mouse and keyboard with it.
I doubt the 360 version is going to let anyone do that.
DemonGSides @ Dec 31st 2007 2:58PM
No way Orenthal, thanks for putting in some totally stupid comment about something EVERYONE knows about.
Also; if you are using your PS3 for UT3, you are doing it wrong.
UT is for PC's only, and I'm a console fanboy.
john paul @ Dec 31st 2007 11:20AM
and i think that guy looks a lot like dom with theron guard armor
not marcus
mattclarkie @ Dec 31st 2007 12:03PM
I think he looks more Marcus, but there is Dom in there. Alot of the characters look like GoW characters.
Cotorra @ Dec 31st 2007 11:36AM

hmm funny you say a horrible pc port....the ps3 version has been rated better than the PC version....
but yeah i don't know i have the PS3 version, its an okay game but there are and will be much better games for the 360.
JakubK666 @ Dec 31st 2007 12:51PM
Yeah that's cos there are too many pros on PC version and the review-guy kept getting 0wnzored :)
xFenixKnightx @ Dec 31st 2007 12:36PM
This game is ok, I have it for PS3. The campaign sux, its more of a training session for online. The graphics are great but its just not as fun as COD4 and of course PSN sux =(. Im thinking of returning it or just trading it when the 360 version releases. I dont care about mods and mouse and keyboard. I know the online will be better for 360 at least.
NitroFrost @ Dec 31st 2007 12:36PM
I want it just cuz I owned in Unreal Champ
a.j. @ Dec 31st 2007 12:38PM
not sure what that dude was talking about saying it's a "horrible port" cause it's pretty near perfect if you ask me. i have the PC and PS3 versions, i have a 360 too so more power to everyone. great game if you like UT.
Whitesoxfan5622 @ Dec 31st 2007 12:40PM
I just got ut3 and have to say its an amazing game. I dont think it will work to good on the 360, its to fast paced of a game. I hope it works good, because i would enjoy it on the 360, hopefully with mods.
cheese @ Dec 31st 2007 12:56PM
LMAO at the peeps saying the framerate and graphics sucked! I sincerely doubt you guys have even played the game :) In those areas it kills anything else. You may think the PSN sucks but guess what? It's free, no ads and no downtime *cough* xbox live *cough*. This whole holiday week I've been playing UT3 on PS3 because playing COD4 on my xbox has been hit and miss at best. Btw I agree with Whitesoxfan in that this game is going to have to pull off some major miracles to play on the 360.
DeadPlasmaCell @ Dec 31st 2007 1:33PM
Nah, Played it on the PS3, The Frame rate sucked.. The frame rate isn't a deal breaker for me, I'd just prefer the better controller of the 360. I'm not too worried about KB&M support because if I wanted to use a KB&M I'd play it on the PC..
TORO @ Dec 31st 2007 4:00PM
Don't worry, you'll soon be able to play Xbox again ;)
Tony @ Dec 31st 2007 1:05PM
Well, it's easy to have no down time when the amount of people on it is like 5 times less at least lol.
As for it running on there, it's not exactly doing anything on the PS3 that the 360 is incapable of (and I'm not sure how many games have to release to keep proving this to some people). Control might be another story, but considering it'd be 360 players against 360 players they'll all be on the same playing level anyway in that sense.
john paul @ Dec 31st 2007 5:15PM
well i ma have overexxagerated a little by saying
"horrible" but hey this is 360fanboy
but you really need to play it to understand what i mean
i didn't play the online but the champaign
it was more like random games put together
because i don't understand what capture the flag has to do with defeating the necris horde
but when i played it , it felt like a pc game put on the console with no adjustments, that is basically what i meant...
but i think its much better if you play with a kb/m
even though they lowered the sensitivity
will the 360 have kb/m support?
Easo @ Dec 31st 2007 8:41PM
I really wish that Epic wouldnt waste our time with this game and just give 360 gamers what they really want. Gears 2.
Whitesoxfan5622 @ Jan 1st 2008 1:11AM
i agree and disagree. UT3 is a awesome game. Its worth the wait. Also give gears a break. Tons of new games came out(or are coming). Ill want gears towards end of 08 start of 09.
Daryl @ Jan 1st 2008 9:54PM
I don't know if I'm too excited for this game or not. I'll most likely pass.
