Tell us your most anticipated games of 2008

Alright, New Year's Day hangovers are (mostly) taken care of now, so it's time for 2008 to officially begin. We've already dispensed with our best games of 2007. Now it's time to look forward. We are speaking, of course, of the most anticipated games of 2008. It's hard to imagine that 2007 could be trumped, but we're more than willing to be proven wrong. This year promises some serious gaming goodness from the likes of Ninja Gaiden II, Halo Wars, Condemned 2, the next Banjo-Kazooie, Alan Wake, Grand Theft Auto IV, Silent Hill V, and a host of others. And let's not forget the unofficial releases like the next installment of Gears of War.
The truth is, there are so many games headed our way, we're bound to forget some. We're going to need some help keeping up with them all. So, our question to you: what games are you looking forward to the most in 2008? Let your opinions be known in the comments below. And don't forget, if you find some tasty info about a game your looking forward to, send it to our tips line. Happy 2008 everyone, let's make it a good year.

I'll get back to you after my damn Xbox 360 is repaired for the 4 rings of death.
NATO_Duke @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:48PM
4 rings means the vid cable came out, 3 means its fried. Did you use wrong info or did u return a working xbox?
Also, Silent Hill V is what I want - good horror games are needed.
JS @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:54PM
Video problems: 1 "ring" or flashing LED (what's used for the 4th player, bottom right) = e74, that's a bad video cable too (or bad GPU) My box gives me that every few times I try to load it, haven't 3 red ringed on THIS one yet though.
4 just means it wasn't detected to be plugged in.
...just throwing it out there :-)
classicgmr @ Jan 3rd 2008 5:25PM
yeah real smart looks lik u returned a working xbox
James @ Jan 3rd 2008 10:43AM
Oh, heh... maybe he did mean that he got a 4-red-lights error, but I had assumed it was a typo for "4th red ring" of death -- as in the 4th time his console bricked. Given the state of things, I wouldn't be at all surprised.
My second RRoD came this past Monday, just as the Live troubles were winding up: a fine little kick in the crotch after a slap in the face. I mean, don't get me wrong, my 360 has probably seen the most play time out of the three new-gen consoles I own, but holy crap their hardware quality is terrible. Good thing I have a couple of Wii and PS3 games to tide me over for the next few weeks...
brent Kailbourn @ Jan 3rd 2008 4:50PM
It wasnt the cable. i went out and bought one. It's the console. and sure enough it was exactly the 53rd week when it crapped out on me so that's outside the warranty for 4 rings. So for $99 repair bill Microsoft is giving me a 1 year warranty (though it wont break again until the week after) and one month of free XBOX Live (which Im losing anyways while it's off for repairs.) Has anyone else bought anything for $400 that has been so unreliable? If this were washingmachines or cars then Congress wouldve held hearings quite awhile ago!
Cal @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:07PM
DMC4, GTA:IV
Saints Row 2, Gears 2 (if they come out this year)
Probably some other stuff
Cal @ Jan 2nd 2008 8:12PM
And R6V2
mattclarkie @ Jan 3rd 2008 4:38AM
I was going to suggest Rainbow Six Vegas 2. I was hoping for the sequel the instant I completed it, and I was so happy when it was announced officially.
R6V2 FTW
ryan @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:11PM
DMC 4, maybe GTA 4.
Ninja Gaiden would be my #1 pick.
the old XBOX was my NG arcade machine.
then i'll do Fable 2.
After that tho, i just gotta jump ship and get a PS3. sorry 360 08'. :[
Thursdae @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:13PM
GTA IV and Fable 2 :D
HBomb @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:16PM
1) Ninja Gaiden 2 (by a long shot)
2) Gears of War 2 (more like 2009, i think)
3) DMC 4
4) Alan Wake (gotta give prop to at least 1 new IP)
5) Beijing 2008 (j/k...)
Mark @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:17PM
I don't really have much on the radar for the 360 in '08 yet. About the only things on the list right now are Spore for PC and Little Big Planet for PS3.
Andrew @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:20PM
I'm hoping Lost Odyssey will be a true FF XIII challenger, hopefully, a really good JRPG is presently the only reason I still break out the PS2!
danny. @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:54PM
agreed. Fable 2 as well.
RichardNixon @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:20PM
Grand Theft Auto IV
That is all.
Arnie @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:20PM
Alan Wake
GTA 4
Age of Conan
Fable 2
Arnie @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:23PM
Tom Clancys: End War (Voice COmmands FTW)
Greg @ Jan 2nd 2008 6:12PM
FYI: Rainbow Six 3 had voice commands four years ago
Arnie @ Jan 2nd 2008 6:31PM
I dont know how it was on Xbox but when I played Rainbow Six the voice commands were mapped to a button but the voice commands system in End War actually recognize what you are saying and move accordingly which makes movement in RTS games viable on the console
Sky Shark X2 @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:21PM
GTA4
Halo Wars
Fable 2
Manvir @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:23PM
umm.... a little game know as GTA IV and definitely spore if they release the damn game....been waiting a couple years for and i think its about time for it to finally come out
Tom @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:23PM
No one has mentioned Vegas 2 yet?
homer34 @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:28PM
Vegas 2 :)
and Midnight Club IV
mcatrage @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:26PM
Fable 2 if it comes out otherwise guess it's my most anticipated for 2009.
Project Ekim @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:26PM
Halo Wars
Devil May Cry 4
GTA 4
Tom Clancys Endwar
Splinter Cell Conviction
Silent Hill 5
and Ninja Gaiden 2 never tried it before i hear its good so ill pick it up.
On top of all that i will also play Halo 3 :)
Project Ekim @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:27PM
For a good reason
Yuccadude @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:28PM
Checking in my calendar has me pegged for Dark Sector, DMC4 (this is a might be, seeing as I played the Xbox one for like 10 mins at a friend's house and completely sucked at it), Turok (have preordered at BB cause I also got a cheap hat), and maybe Lost Odyssey just because it looks kinda interesting.
STEVE @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:29PM
GTA IV, Saints Row 2, DMC 4 and Ninja Gaiden 2.
Adam B @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:30PM
Vegas
Jim Perry @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:33PM
The reason MS hasn't hyped up 2008 titles, is that there isn't much to hype. They shot their wad in 2007 it looks like to me. They have a lot to show me to convince me otherwise.
1 GRID
2 Operation Flashpoint2
3 RB6 Vegas 2
4 Burnout Paradise
5 Battlefield Bad Co.
Looks pretty grim for me in 2008. Looks like I'll be playing a lot of COD4, and saving some cash this year. Doubt we'll see a COD5. I'm hoping for some great DLC from COD4/IW.
I could care less right now about DMC4, NinjaGaiden2, Halo Wars, GTA4 etc.
PS3 is gonna gain heavily on 360 this year... but it still won't pass it up.
Destroyer88 @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:42PM
i'm suprised nobody mentioned UT3, thats crazy. Well here is my list:
UT3, GTA IV, and the new UFC game.
Thursdae @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:51PM
Forgot all about UT3. Can't wait for that. Also, If it is still coming out for xbox 360, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
Tony @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:50PM
I'll be different and say I'm most interested in Idea Factory's Spectral Force 3 and Success's Operation Darkness, both of which Atlus is publishing. Other than that, I'm really hoping Too Human turns out.
xenocidic @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:51PM
GTA4 !
jake18oly @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:51PM
Gears of War 2 if it comes out this year!
jake18oly @ Jan 2nd 2008 7:38PM
I almost forgot the DLC for Rock Band! I am really looking forward to all the new songs this year!
Chase @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:52PM
Fable 2, and a mix of what everyone else has said minus the new Burnout game.
RudyHuxtable @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:55PM
GTA: IV
Burnout Paradise
Saints Row 2
Fable 2
Some stuff for PC, but since this is Xbox 360 Fanboy and not PCaholics.com, I'll go ahead and plead the Fifth on those.
Demolition Elmo @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:56PM
DUKE NUKEM FOREV....
oh wait i'm sorry, i'm thinking of the 2018 line up. My bad.
Edog Lost @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:58PM
RESIDENT EVIL 5.
that game is going to be so good.
J @ Jan 3rd 2008 11:07AM
No doubt!
Resident Evil 5 is going to be so amazing.
Toby @ Jan 2nd 2008 5:59PM
GTAIV there is no substitute for inner city crime
Trashman @ Jan 2nd 2008 6:00PM
Banjo-Kazooie and GTA IV for me
Adam @ Jan 2nd 2008 6:01PM
GTA4 is easily my most anticipated, yes the delays have been crap but i genuinely belive it will be more than worth it!
Also I'm hopeful for Alan Wake, bit annoyed at how few details there are about it at the moment but if they can make it look as impressive as the early shots (and the PC version video that's floating around) as well as making it as engaging as the storyline sounds then there could be a most definate winner on our hands... Despite the fact I'm a complete pansy when it coms to horror games :-/
southbay_11 @ Jan 2nd 2008 6:04PM
A little game called street fighter 4. Also UT3, DLC for halo 3, GTA4
TORO @ Jan 2nd 2008 6:08PM
Yea SF IV ftw! GoW2 for me, and DLC for COD4.
DaveC @ Jan 2nd 2008 6:05PM
Grand Theft Auto IV, Fable 2 for a close second.
Greg @ Jan 2nd 2008 6:06PM
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 and GRAW 3
Andro @ Jan 2nd 2008 6:10PM
The two I am looking forward to are:
1. Prototype
