Note to Harmonix: Smaller indie bands that could use exposure on Rock Band exist outside of you and your friends Boston bands.

being a rock band n00b and not knowing jack shit about it...what's a "master track?"
xenocidic @ Jan 3rd 2008 12:58PM
master track means it was made with the original versions recorded by the artists as opposed to a cover band you can tell the difference when it says, say "Push Push (Lady Lightning) /BY/ Bang Camaro" as opposed to say "Monkey Wrench /AS MADE FAMOUS BY/ Foo Fighters". In the second instead ("as made famous") it's just a cover whereas the first one ("by") indicates a master track.

thanks Xeno! Makes sense!
Gemini Ace @ Jan 3rd 2008 12:45PM
Uh...who? Never heard of any of them.
Wilson @ Jan 3rd 2008 12:52PM
orly? never played any of the guitar hero or any other harmonix game before? Freezepop is in pretty much all of them
Gemini Ace @ Jan 3rd 2008 1:24PM
I have GH2. They're not in it.
max @ Jan 3rd 2008 1:39PM
less talk more rokk
Loban @ Jan 3rd 2008 1:40PM
Freezepop is in GH2. "Less Talk More Rokk" It's a bonus song.
ChromaTick @ Jan 3rd 2008 12:58PM
I really like the Bang Camaro song that's in Rock Band already. Hopefully this one will be good also.
Scott @ Jan 3rd 2008 1:07PM
Ummm, if you are putting on any Count Zero songs, just put Radium Eyes back on there again.
That song stinks so bad I love it.
"RADIUM EYES BA DA DA DA DA"

I can't find anywhere on this site where it explains how comments work so I'm going to ask here.
How the heck do you reply to a previous comment?
Also, am I required to enter my username/password every time I want to leave a comment?
MrMuggs @ Jan 3rd 2008 1:41PM
There's a reply button under each person's comments. HOWEVER, there seems to be some sort of script error w/the CSS or something and a lot of people(including myself) can't see it. If you hover your mouse around the bottom of people's comments you'll notice that your mouse turns to a hand. I had the same issue so I loaded up the site in Firefox and you can see the reply button. In IE6 I can't see it. I'm not going to install IE7. I'm betting it works in IE7.
Yes. Every time you leave a comment you need to enter your password. It's to prevent spammers. Use the password you get in your email every time when you first make a comment. You can also change that password at blogsmith.com.
Although the commenting isn't bad on here it's not very intuitive. There's a lot to figure out for first time commenters. Based on the perceived diffculty and hassle that's probably why most people don't bother commenting at all.
YoRone22 @ Jan 3rd 2008 1:41PM
Hmm...IDK...Maybe hit the reply button?
David @ Jan 3rd 2008 1:52PM
It is a good system, keeps the noise level down. I am glad it is cumbersome.
ChromaTick @ Jan 3rd 2008 2:08PM
Thanks MrMuggs. That appears to be the problem. No reply button at all for me, but I found the invisible spot with some slow hovering. Now I at least know where it is for future reference.
I agree, this comment system is about the opposite of intuitive. :)
David @ Jan 3rd 2008 1:49PM
Is this going to be a CD that I can pass around or some activation code so only one person can use?
Modeps @ Jan 3rd 2008 2:22PM
I think Xbox 360 Fanboy needs to learn what the acronym DLC stands for.
todd @ Jan 3rd 2008 3:17PM
I for see all copies of OXM being sold for that month... good ploy for them to get subscribers and people to buy the mag, since it sucks.
shay07 @ Jan 3rd 2008 5:31PM
If it's exclusive to OXM i wonder what ps3 people will do.
Rishard @ Jan 3rd 2008 6:59PM
Damn. Looks like I'm going to have to get that copy of OXM! Freeze pop kicks ass!
refinedsugar @ Jan 3rd 2008 9:03PM
Double LOL! Wow, a reason to buy OXM, zonks, and a forewarning myspace link. Yes, I loathe those myopic attempts at social networking sites.
