Elizabeth from 2K Boston popped in the
2K forums to update everyone on the
Big Daddy replacement saga which sadly continues into 2008. Elizabeth mentions that the replacement Big Daddy figures have started shipping (that's good, seeing that they should have
back in November) but not everyone's has been sent off yet. They're still carefully packing each Big Daddy figure, affixing address labels and having Mr. UPS man come pick them up. So, if you haven't received your replacement Big Daddy figurine yet, we'd expect it to arrive within' a week or so (like we haven't heard that before). And be warned 2K. With these shipment delays coupled with an overall feeling of being dragged along, we better not receive a replacement that has its
drill tip broken. If so, there will be hell to pay. End angry rant.
[Thanks,
HaVoC]

UPDATE: This morning I received an E-mail from 2K customer support with this message in it.
“If you have received a confirmation e-mail regarding your figure, then we have good news. The figures have now been shipped to the US, they are in the country now and being prepared for transport to customers homes. You should receive your figure shortly. May we thank you for your patience during this issue.”
This wasn’t one of their mass E-mailings, it was a response to an phone call made about the delays. Just thought I would spread the news.

I was planning on giving my slightly broken one to my friend for Christmas and seeing if he'd notice the tip, but eventually I started wondering if I'd get a replacement, so maybe I'll still give it to him now that I know that they're still working on shipping mine.

This is what you do. You put your replacement big daddy figure next to your broken one. That will make it appear as if they were in a epic battle and only one survived.

I live in New Zealand, and purchased my collectors edition of Bioshock from www.gpstore.co.nz. My Big Daddy arrived damaged, so I contacted the store right away. Since then, I have been given numerous excuses as to why I haven't received a replacement yet.
A couple of weeks back, they contacted me saying they had one replacement instore, that was also damaged. I could have that one as a replacement, but that was all. And that Take2 NZ is unwilling to replace ANY figurines as Take2's head office isn't sending them any. This is absolute crap, and I'm so pissed off about it all.
Does anyone know of an email address I could use to make contact with Take 2 directly so that like their American customers, I too can get the replacement I am legally entitled to.
Thanks in advance to anyone that helps :)
HaVoC @ Jan 5th 2008 3:17AM
You need to contact 2K, not Take 2. Sorry I couldn't help much with E-mail. All I have is the phone nuumber for the US. Try the forums http://www.2kgames.com/bioshock you might find something you can use there.

UPS? Expect those packages to be used for football practice.
