Beautiful Katamari will roll into Europe this Feb

Earlier this morning, Atari announced that Europeans will be getting their share of Katamari ball rolling in a few weeks when Beautiful Katamari makes its way to Europe.

Beautiful Katamari already released in both the US and Japan this past October and to be frank, we aren't exactly sure why it has taken an additional four months to come out in Europe. But that's how these things work sometimes and Europeans will get their Beautiful Katamari sometime in February, so we'll just have to deal. Though, one thing we can be sure of fellow European fanboys is that you'll never have so much fun rolling up cows, soda pop or people. Or at least we haven't, but maybe that's just how we roll.

what did you hear about it it sucks compared to the original if you have a PS2 just go and buy the original. but what ever i would wait till a friend and see how it is compared to the ps2 version.

I have to say that every one there is better off renting it if at all possible... this is coming from someone that owns the previous three titles and loves them.

I have to agree. It's hard to imagine screwing up Katamari, but they seemed to have sucked a lot of the fun out of this one.

Also, build a katamari to 2000 degrees!!!! wtf...

I got this for Christmas, and I definitely recommend it, especially if you didn't play the PS2 version.

Tony & mgroves: I'm a complete Katamari newb, is it worth £40 then? Or am I better off checking eBay in a few months or renting??

The demo is the best recommendation, really. Hopefully they'll be releasing it to PAL territories if they haven't already...

I did a reader review on Gamespot at one point (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/beautifulkatamari/player_review.html?id=508709&tag=readerreviews;continue), which would basically be all that I'd say here. It's not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, I just found it to be disappointing.
