Devil May Cry 4 demo "coming soon"
It looks like the promised Devil May Cry 4 demo is right around the corner. The news comes in the form of an advertisement found in the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (right next to the decent review scores for Culdcept Saga). According to said advertisement, (get this) a demo is coming soon for Xbox Live Marketplace and its bastard cousin the Playstation Store. And that's about it really. Not terribly unexpected considering Capcom's success with demos on the 360 thus far. If demos can make best sellers out of untested franchises like Dead Rising and Lost Planet, we imagine it can do the same for a mainstay like Devil May Cry. The only question now is exactly how soon is "soon."

Oh well lets hope this demo is half decent in length. Nothing like waiting 2-3 hours for the download and then having a 5 minute demo (I'm looking at you GRAW 2 / Half Life Ep.2)

well they actually did say they were giving a demo in early 2008 so it's bound to come up in a couple of days

That doesn't do me any good as long as XBL is as laggy as it is right now. Haven't been able to download a single demo for weeks.

Thank God for the "bastard cousin" -- it's my only option while I wait for MS to receive my "coffin", process it, and send me a new/fixed console. Say what you will about the PS3 (not nearly enough games, especially exclusives, feature bloat, etc.), the hardware failure rate looks like it's probably 1/10th or less that of the 360, at least with the initial batches. I bought my 360 first, but I've been using my PS3 a lot more since I bought it.
I know MS stepped up and extended the warranty, and I know they seem to have fixed the problem, but it's still irritating. I got my two weeks of XBL problems, followed by a RRoD, so I'm allowed a little griping.

they've been saying coming soon since last year sometime. The game comes out in less than 3 weeks or something right? Its not like they changed the game play up so if you've played the first 3 then you know what to expect. A great game!! Nuff said!

Hopefully this upcoming Thursday, just in time for my 4 day weekend. Im on the fence about this game, and this will help me to decide whether to buy or not.

i cant wait for this game, but playing it on the 360 would seem like blasphemy so im sticking withe the ps3 version.
