Turok demo supposedly available now [update]

If you're one to believe a certain Major Nelson, then there is currently a Turok demo available on Xbox Live Marketplace right damn now. Alas, it seems as though Major's many spies (birds, beasts) are misinformed, as said demo is nowhere to be found. Nope, nothing. We continue to stare at the screen, hoping desperately that the demo will make itself known to us. We've uttered all the elvish passwords we know, but so far our efforts have been fruitless. With any luck, we'll stumble upon the answer soon.
Update: Major Nelson has updated the availability for the game. The demo is available in the following regions: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and United Kingdom

my friend said, in order to play the turok demo, you have to preorder it at gamestop, with a tshirt or something, and you'll get a code to download it.

I hope that's not true because, if it is, then they made a poor decision when there are plenty of people who aren't going to buy it if they can't try it first.
If someone's making a pre-order, then they don't need to be sold on the game any further. oh well... I guess we'll see.
I personally didn't know that the demo was "supposed" to be out, but this is a game that I've been interested in for a while now, but definitely won't buy w/ out a demo first.

I got the demo and the t shirt from gamestop about a month ago, I would say its worth a download. Its a pretty big demo I would say, plenty of dinosaur killin to be had, and wait until you get the shotgun with the attached flare shooter. that thing is rough.

I got the demo from game stop for pre ordering the game and I must admit that it sucks!!!!
I thought it sucked so bad that I canceled the pre order of the game.
I really wanted to love this game because I love the turok franchise. But this is strictly my opinion and maybe the finished product will be better then the demo.
If I was to put a review score on this game I'll bet it gets about 6 or 7 for a score.
Maybe even lower!

Official Xbox magazine has timed exclusivity on the demo, I had it on this months disc and it was awesome, but yea OXM got the demo exclusive for a short time it would seem.

Its poor you guys aren't missing anything, the knife kills are cool but if you watch the video of them on gametrailers you've seen all of them, there are only 1 or 2 for every enemy type.

It seems that whenever a demo comes everywhere else before the states it turns out to be a crappy game. I hope I am wrong because I want Turok and The Club to be great games but I would not be surprised to hear that they suck. : )

they're getting a little out of hand not releasing demos to the U.S.......i know all you people around the world would disgree, considering your shortage of demos....but man, these are good demos that i would like to play......o well, hopefully soon....

If any of you Americans buy the Feb 08 issue of OXM, a demo of Turok is available to you guys, so don't fret!
P.S. The Club demo is scheduled for release here in the USA for Jan 22, as mentioned in the game's ad, the same day Burnout: Paradise comes out!
