Rock Band's next two weeks: Oasis, Rush, more
- Oasis Pack
- Progressive Pack
- "Siva" by Smashing Pumpkins
- "Working Man" as made famous by Rush (cover)
- "Ten Speed (of God's Blood and Burial)" as made famous by Coheed and Cambria (cover)
Update: Looks like the Xbox.com page has been altered, and these song packs have been removed. That's okay though, 'cause we got proof.
[Thanks, Jason R. Wallace]

Keep that Rush coming! Woo!
Jason R. Wallace @ Jan 16th 2008 5:57PM
Not much of an Oasis fan, really, but the selections of theirs are solid and certainly a departure from the usual pace and sound of Rock Band.
I'm overjoyed about the Progressive Pack! Great bands and great tracks, all. The cover notation next to "Ten Speed" does frighten me a bit, though. Good luck with that one, WaveGroup.

The guy they have covering Rush is terrible. I've never loved the vocals to begin with, but man... I just can't bring myself to buy anything but originals, which we're apparently never going to see.
Definitely interested in Siva, though.
dunnypop @ Jan 16th 2008 6:09PM
wow! rock band's dlc is just good. great variety so far.
jackdurden @ Jan 16th 2008 6:14PM
Wonderwall and Siva are great songs, it would be cool if eventually down the line we got "Zero" also by the Pumpkins.
jsn @ Jan 16th 2008 9:58PM
I think they'll end up being a full album download.. if not they'll end up with a lot of content on there. If their first two albums were mixed properly, all the later ones had to be as well.
TX2Step @ Jan 16th 2008 6:16PM
And just like that, Xbox took the future tracks down.
dancingtosirens @ Jan 16th 2008 6:25PM
Im really looking forward to Smashing Pumpkins.
I am still really looking for Co&Ca the most though, however I got extremely dissapointed when I saw it was a cover.
They have the master of Welcome Home, why a cover of this song?
Claudio has a very unique voice, I am very curious as to how it comes out, because a bad cover means I wont be purchasing it despite my well known love for them
Jeremy @ Jan 16th 2008 6:28PM
Definitely getting the Oasis pack.
I love those songs.
Joe @ Jan 16th 2008 6:46PM
Oasis? It reminds me of my five years at Camp Burgess. Good times. I'm definitely buying the Oasis pack.
Yuccadude @ Jan 16th 2008 7:09PM
I still want to know what Harmonix has against Geddy Lee, and why they have some guy cover the song. It doesn't sound nearly as good as the original, and I'm glad when I'm singing because I can cut out the vocal track, unfortunately I can't do that when I'm playing guitar.
zlionsfan @ Jan 17th 2008 10:15AM
It isn't necessarily Harmonix - it could be what Rush has against Harmonix/Rock Band/whatever. (Maybe Geddy's mad at EA.)
At least we get some Rush tracks. I'm looking forward to Working Man.
I like the variety. It's a decent range of rock, and if you don't like the songs one week, they'll change the next. (Plus it saves you money. It may be a blessing that they don't have full album DLC yet.)

classic Oasis! cue the massive freak out!
roach @ Jan 16th 2008 7:57PM
Oasis?
My God, yes!!! Bring the Beatles next!!!!
therpham @ Jan 16th 2008 8:24PM
I hope their faux Claudio Sanchez isn't as bad as their faux Geddy Lee. I wish they were original tracks... I'll probably still buy the progressive pack, though.
Jesus is the One @ Jan 16th 2008 8:25PM
Just FYI "Ten Speed" is not a cover. They changed the info on xbox.com to reflect that.
Mike @ Jan 16th 2008 8:53PM
if what you just said is true I'm so happy
DemonGSides @ Jan 16th 2008 9:23PM
Bring some freaking Gorillaz.
If they put out the entirety of either of their main CD's as songs, I'd go buy this game immediately, and buy enough points to put it on all my friends 360's and my own.
Striker Dude @ Jan 16th 2008 9:54PM
The Oasis pack and Siva are definitely sick. I want an SP pack already! Come on harmonix, do it!
Steve @ Jan 16th 2008 10:40PM
Loving the Oasis pack. As a displaced Brit am really looking forward to it. Would also love to see Little by Little soon.
Mark @ Jan 16th 2008 11:01PM
Both of these packs are must buys! Oasis was one of the greatest band of the 90s and SP, Rush, and Coheed and Cambria are no slouch. Thank you Rock Band for delivering awesome DLC each and every week!
Brian @ Jan 17th 2008 7:35AM
Great job with new songs each week. But cover songs gotta stop. Tom Sawyer was acceptable, but I was disappointed with Limelight. Sounds like a totally different person singing.
George Arauz @ Jan 17th 2008 8:54AM
Oasis? Great.. such a scumbag band as it is and now on rockband? Great
a weekapaug @ Jan 17th 2008 9:48AM
Oasis sucks. Oh wait, I mean they are better than the Beatles... what douchebags.
Where's my GD and Who's Next I was promised before release?!
morphs @ Jan 17th 2008 10:03AM
Wonderwall is a great song. I really want to get Rock Band just for that song.
Corellia @ Jan 17th 2008 10:36AM
Sweet.. Been avoided the whole M$ points thing. Time to load up if this great trend continues.
itsburnsie @ Jan 17th 2008 10:51AM
Oasis pack!?
:-)
Tony L @ Jan 17th 2008 11:42AM
Siva! Yes!!!
Tony L @ Jan 17th 2008 11:42AM
Siva! Yes!!!
Boff @ Jan 17th 2008 12:00PM
Was never a huge Oasis fan but Wonderwall was quite the anthem a few years ago.
Just need to get Rock Band now :o(
murph @ Jan 17th 2008 3:21PM
Since it leaked early, HMX has confirmed the next two week's DLC. Except there is no "progressive pack", those songs are just available individually.
