Halo 3 Spartan Laser suicide for the ages

There are so many Halo 3 videos out there, we try not to post too many. That said, the occasional video shows up that just begs to be shown. And this is just such a video. If the headline didn't tip you off, the video above displays an unsuspecting Halo 3 player being destroyed by his own Spartan Laser blast. We won't spoil the particulars for you, but suffice it say it's not likely to happen again. Oh, and a tip to all the Halo 3 clip makers out there: good music can make your video. Our hats off to the creator of this video for his musical choice.

I do hear what you're saying.
It's one reason I'm an elite, is to give them a better name.
Then again I never played through Halo 1 or 2 so I don't have nay bias towards them, just think they look cooler and no one plays as them, so i wanna be unique and all that shit.

i have a similar video from months ago except it was the enemy who threw the grenade at me and it blocked my laser shot from hitting him and hit me. Its better. The only reason I never posted it is because of the lag, the grenade on my screen is not actully in the path of the laser when uw atch in slo-mo, but it comes a half second later.

wow i really hate that stage in matchmaking! i always get jumped by the whole team at the top. Not surprized that laser ended up making things worse in that stage.

Can you check out these maps i made? Anyone can try them since i did not buy the heroic map pack.
They are totally new stages.

I want to know whether Bungie made that happen, or whether it is a glitch/bi-product of the code. Because really the laser should just have destroyed the frag and not have rebounded.

I am fairly sure that I was killed by my own bullets rebounding off a surface, so it maybe the physics was just applied to the Laser for some reason.
