Highlander shots, no screens can be their equal

We'd like to promise that we're going to stop making jokes about the upcoming Highlander video game from Eidos, but it ain't gonna happen (we're still frantically trying to find a use for the word "quickening" as a pun). While it may be amusing to poke fun at the aging franchise, we must admit that the recent slew of screenshots to emerge for the game have piqued our interest. Granted, we're not sure if we're seeing actual gameplay or not, but it shows promise, if only conceptually. After all, sword-swinging action that spans multiple centuries sounds like perfect fodder for a video game. You might say these screens are quickening our pulse (there we go). Check them out in the gallery below.

I never cared for this IP, didn't like the shows or movie, and am finding it extremely difficult to get excited by what looks like could be a good game.

I give myself several quickenings every day and night.

Man there better be some kinda multiplayer in this... With a "There Can Only Be One" game mode. XD

1 vs 1 mode or perhapses what Naruto Risa of a Ninja did with the FOD exam make it a torment of sorts were you go though different periods of time and you fight the highlander you are and at the end of so say 10 straight wins you become the "One". I don't know just a thought

I avoid things even reaching to the quickening stage by wrapping it in Saran Wrap. Saran Wrap: keeps your pickle fresh.

where's chris lambert and his wooden acting?
on a side note, I always found the Highlander series a decent idea for a game. sword, head chopping... well that's the the formula for any successful game!

I hope Methos is a playable character. That would certainly broaden the scope of the game. Anybody else play Eternal Darkness? It would be cool if Highlander's story and characters were presented like that.
