Video: Sega Superstars Tennis makes its debut!
SEGA just released a Sega Superstars Tennis debut trailer today and we'll admit it. This happy, fun trailer instantly "made" our Sunday.
The debut trailer doesn't show one lick of actual gameplay, but does give us other informative niblets all while being an entertaining tennis spectacle. The trailer does confirm that SEGA characters Aiai (Super Monkey Ball), Beat (Jet Set Radio), Ulala (Space Channel 5), Amigo (Samba de Amigo), Nights (Nights), Dr. Eggman (Sonic the Hedgehog) and our blue Sonic the Hedgehog to be included in Superstars Tennis. We also suspect other "mystery" characters to be included or unlockable, because that's usually how these games go. So, enjoy the Sega Superstars Tennis debut trailer and be sure to watch for Amigo's introduction. His stone, expressionless face creeped us out, but the sound of his maracas made us smile for some reason.

Words cannot express how i feel after seeing that, lol.
That has to be an interesting set of characters, to say the least. Worth a rent to me, as tennis just isn't my game.

Dustin, not Dr. Eggman, Dr. Robotnik, you should be old enough to know this...

oh wow. Amigo, and Ulala. LOL haven't seen them since the DC days.
Kinda cool. I'm thinking they all have interesting powers... I wonder if they will have the guys from Altered Beast and Shinobi?

The weird thing is that this is probably the most promising and exciting thing Sega itself is developing at all right now. I hope it turns out well, if it's anything like Mario Tennis (and it sure seems like it is), it should be pretty awesome.

I thought Mario Tennis was a fun game but I didn't have a Gamecube. I think the play style will be similar but w/the Sega characters so I'm looking forward to this for the 360.

I never realized so many Sega characters had names comprised of seemingly randomly-selected syllables.

I hope they have the car from daytona and some people from fighting vipers and the virtua fighters as well. that was a pretty cool vid.

Loved that game.

I just want to know why Sega changed Dr. Robotnik to Eggman. I hate what Sega has done to the Sonic games. They make Sonic talk change peoples names and then make the games bad. I so future games will be better.
As for this game I hope it will be good.

If Michael Jackson isn't a hidden character, it will sorely disappoint.

Where's Ryo Hazuki? My Greed notwithstanding, could be a fun game.

It's sad this will be the only way (so far) to play NiGHTS of any sort. (sigh)

Actually, it also makes me wish for Jet Set Radio 360 and Space Channel 5 360...
