Devil May Cry 4 demo arrives Thursday
Capcom announced on their official blog today that the Devil May Cry 4 demo will arrive this Thursday on Xbox Live Marketplace, a full week ahead of the rumored January 31 date. The demo will allow gamers the chance to try out Nero and take part in a trademark boss battle. And ... um ... that's about it. Hmmm ... probably should have put some filler between those first two sentences. Oh wait, there are more details! The demo takes place in the Fortuna city level, featuring snowy mountains and a port area. Also, we have it on good authority that the demo can also be enjoyed in high definition. We can't wait.

Wow hopefully I'll be able to read some of the text in DMC4 considering Capcom seems to think all gamers own HDTV's.

If you don't have an HD set, you're the equivalent of someone complaining that consoles don't come with RF adapters these days. When you can get an HD set for barely more than a new Xbox 360 or PS3, then you have no excuse.

Well if you can afford an xbox YOU MUST BE ABLE TO AFFORD AN HD SET IF YOU ARE BEING SELFISH AND SPEND THE REST OF YOUR MONEY ON FOOD AND SHELTER THEN YOU DESERVE TO SQUINT THROUGH OUT THE ENTIRE DEMO.

I'm surprised that there are people with 360s that may not have a HDTV set, but play through a standard TV instead of a cheap PC monitor to get HD modes working.
Mind you I worked testing a 360 title last year and we were all using 15" standard TVs!
I've never gamed on such a small screen since my Vectrex!

Yeah, I couldn't believe the Heath Ledger thing. Anna Nicole Smith or whatever wasn't terribly surprising, but this is kind of crazy and sad.
As for this, can't wait for the demo.

Maybe its that this is the first of this franchise on a the Xbox, but I have less interest in this game than Tenchu Z. Its pretty much on par with the crazy Japanese-named games that appear on the PS3, IMO. In spite of all of this, I feel I have a duty to Call love this game just because its another stolen Playstation exclusive.
I gots me a case of the fanboys.

Listen, Ninja Gaiden remakes exist because of Devil May Cry. Kratos only existed because Dante said so. This is the ultimate action experience and for you to not have interest is inexplicable.
Devil May Cry was the entire reason I bought a Playstation. I stayed for other games. Don't let the media hype machine deter you folks. This time, hype comes from past performance, not future expectations. BigMac, do yourself a favor and download this game in all its HD glory.

Or that DMC is popular and generally well reviewed and the 360 is starved for these types of games right now.
I really doubt anyone would buy this just to spite PS3 owners beyond just making jokes about it on the Internet. If PS3 owners really want to make a point, they should make sure more of them buy it than 360 owners do lol.

Or perhaps they are sick of being treated by shit by Sony, lied to and abused. Maybe those same Sony/DMC fans had enough and decided a different form of punishment, one that is new and exciting, one under Microsoft's boot rather than Sony's whip. If I do get this game it will be because I enjoyed the demo, not to spite fanboys. Don't be an idiot.

Good! I'm glad to help. You should not be disappointed. I've always liked action-adventure games and Devil May Cry successfully scratches every itch. I have to wait until 2/7/08 to download it but it'll be worth the wait. I wish I could win a copy.

If Namco fails to bring Tekken 6 to the 360 than I am convinced they are more concerned with staying traditional rather than making money. If they don't its not too big a deal anyways.
Fighters, especially Tekken are well past thier prime. Tekken 5 was a huge let down.
VF 5 was and is the greatest 3d fighter out there and still, noone gives a shit except for a select few.
