Can you say delectable? Because that's the adjective we use to describe the custom created
Gears of War Lancer you see above. Not only is it an amazingly detailed replica of Mr. Fenix's Lancer that lights up and carries that "bad-ass mystique", but would you believe it was created by fashioning together a NERF gun and a toy chainsaw? Well, you should believe, because that's exactly how it was made. Words cannot express our admiration with the toy in question ... it was love at first sight. Now only if they sold these kind of toys at our local Toys R Us, then we'd truly be satisfied in life. Stupid government though. We say down with the government's strict toy rules and up with realistic
Gears Lancer toy replicas at Toys R Us! Woohoo! Who's with us?

I don't know what's more impressive... the very cool nerf mod (sincere statement) or how someone finds the free time to put something like that together.
either way, bravo! can i have one? :)

The..um....chainsaw blade is facing the wrong way...
I think I saw an episode of CSI once that featured a guy chainsawing himself by accident...
(Where's my Nerf Predator spear and shoulder-mounted Plasma Caster?)

After peeping the video I see that above photo was before his assembly..so yeah, it's cool. What I'd do with it..no idea. But it's cool.

Ha! That's pretty cool. I give it two thumbs up. It's very creative and VERY nerdtastic (new word). :)
Bravo6 @ Jan 23rd 2008 2:34PM
Ha! Nicely done. I would have splattered red on the chainsaw though.
Magic Whiskey @ Jan 23rd 2008 2:45PM
Hah, I thought of the same thing, too! (I wonder if he WOULD make me my telescopic Predator spear...hmm) :)
emirabal @ Jan 23rd 2008 3:00PM
This thing is pretty sweet.

Hell yeah! Down with the government! Finally, the 360 and revolution collide (and not in a Just Cause kind of way, either)!
But first, uh... could we borrow your nerf chainsaw lancer?
ZeroCorpse @ Jan 23rd 2008 3:43PM
I usually roll my eyes at these "mods" you guys post on the Engadget/Xbox fanboy/Joystiq blogs, but this one is actually very cool (in a nerdy, geeky kind of way).
The difference? This isn't some geek sticking an electronic gadget inside the hollowed out plastic body of some 80s toy, like most others. This one took some work and artistic skill.
Good job. Now sell it on eBay for $500.
ZeroCorpse @ Jan 23rd 2008 3:45PM
Oh, and when I was a kid, there were no government rules regarding weapon-toys. We had realistic looking guns, swords, and everything else. No orange plastic. No day-glo colors. Our stuff looked deadly and cool.
So nyah-nyah to all you younger guys! You had to play with safety-orange guns!!!
hydralisk456 @ Jan 23rd 2008 4:02PM
Kind of off topic, but has anyone else thought about how bad of an idea a chainsaw attached to a gun really is? I mean, you chop up your enemy but now your gun is covered in gore and little bits of flesh. This could become problematic very quickly. Just a thought.

It's a game.
George Arauz @ Jan 23rd 2008 4:52PM
hahaha no f'ing way :)

Nice. If you wanna CHOP your own fingers... the thing is BACKWARDS!! Blade right next to the trigger... Other than that. Cool.
Boff @ Jan 24th 2008 1:47PM
Ha ha that looks awesome! Good effort!
I want to see the Tourqe Bow next.
