New Prince of Persia is official for fiscal 08
Alright readers, are you sitting down? You should probably sit down, because we have some shocking news. Okay, everyone ready? Good. Ubisoft has confirmed the existence of a new Prince of Persia. We know, right? We never saw it coming either. Not in a million years. And yet, it's true. The game was mentioned in an Ubisoft financial release alongside other games planned for their fiscal 2008, which begins this April. No further details were unveiled, even a vague release window. For instance, we don't know if the game will tie into the upcoming film expected in 2009 or if it will be part of the rumored prequel trilogy. Maybe our dreams of Altair making a guest appearance will come true (historical accuracy be damned!).

YEAH! I've been worrying because there haven't really been any AAA titles announced for 2008. This should be huge.

I am not really excited about too many titles so far for this year. I am not a big GTA guy either. I was excited for The Club, but after seeing the demo I feel it looks kind of blah.
I will be looking forward for this game and Bionic Comando. Oh and Hilander. Yes I am the last fan that Richard talked about in the fan cast.

Actually, I'm here a lot.
I just really don't care about any of the supposed AAA games announced yet. I wasn't a fan of the first Fable, GTAIV is going to be a graphical rehash of the last 10 GTA games, and I'm not real excited about a RTS with a Halo skin slapped on top of it.
With Assassin's Creed's engine and graphics at Ubisoft, a new Prince of Persia could really be a groundbreaking title. Otherwise, the most interesting game this year is Little Big Planet.

There's a good reason POP has so many games, it's cause it's successful and more popular than a game like beyond good and evil (which i own actually, i didn't really see the big deal.) this is quiet possibly my most favourite game series ever.
I pray they don't do something stupid and try to turn it into assassins creed or something. And i pray they get it right, i want another trilogy!

As long as the guy responsible for Linkin Park-ifying the second part of the previous trilogy has been thrown off a bridge (as would be the case in a good and just universe), we should be fine.
