Reminder: Undertow a free download until Sunday

Just a reminder that Microsoft's apology gift for Live being "fickle" this holiday has just arrived. Their gift, the full version of Xbox Live Arcade game Undertow, is now a free download off the Marketplace. Undertow will remain free for only a limited time though, so we advise commencing the download process as soon as possible so you don't forget. Because when the clock strikes midnight pacific on Sunday, January 27th, the free Undertow offer will disappear into the deep, dark bowels of the Atlantic ocean, never to be seen again. And for those fanboys who already own Undertow, remember to give MS support a ring today, tell them your story and you'll be rewarded with 800 MS points instead. Free goodies for all!

w00t! Downloaded it this morning! Now, I didn't know there was a co-op campaign with this game! I'm CRAZY FOR CO-OP! So, it should be good times.

It must be getting jammed on or something because I just get an error code whenever I try to download.

Yeah, I got that this morning too. I went into the trial, in the main menu of the trial it says hit X to unlock the full game. I hit X and it downloaded. I kept getting some weird error code when I tried to download the full game.

I'll be calling M$ since I already bought the game. At first, I was kinda disappointed with my impulsive buy (reading the good reviews an all), but yesterday I gave this game another chance and let me tell you it's pretty cool.

I almost beat the game yesterday, then I played one on one and the guy quit cause he couldn't respawn anymore lol

the controls seem fine with me. it reminds me of smash TV...
and the graphics are pretty awesome... however if you have a small TV prepare to squint.

wonder how crazy this will be with 16 players.
I do like the capture the flag concept.

I think it would have been better for US to just give everyone 800 MS points, but then they couldn't capitalize on people NOT downloading it... a la mail in rebates. There are a lot of other games on the marketplace I would rather purchase than undertow.

Get over what? I'm not complaining. It's logical for microsoft to handle the "problem" the way they are. It just seems that those who purchased Undertow previously are getting off better except for having to call microsoft. I never had a problem with Live during this period to begin with so it's a bonus for me. I had never even considered Undertow and am now looking forward to getting off work so I can download it.

people who bought it arnt getting a better deal. they spent 800 points and are getting 2 games.you are getting 1 game for free, if you spent 800 more poitns youd be on the same groudns as some one that bought the game already.

They bought a game they obviously wanted and now they are getting a game of their choice from basically the rest of the catalog or anything on XBLM. They could buy some video or they could by the Halo 3 maps or....

The game is not too bad for an XBLA. The main issue I have is that it uses the old school Right stick to fire. Another issue is that if you get stuck in a cross fire you die almost instantly. I just try to capture 3/5 control points and then hold them, otherwise you just end up losing if you try to take all of them.

I like the right-stick, you have better control of your bullets/missiles. I think the right d-pad guy is the best, he's got good armor and strong firepower.

Hopefully I can find some online games with people now, it's funny how I'm getting into the game a month after I bought it lol

Just login with your gamer tag at a friends and download it. Then when you get your box back redownload it free since it will show you had previously purchased it with your account.

If your console is in for repair, you can call the support line, the will be able to see that your console is currently in for repair and will be able to compensate you the points for the game that you would have been able to download during the period."
