THQ abandons Stuntman and Juiced franchises

Developer and publisher THQ is going through some, how shall we say this, mid-life crisis problems as of late. Problems that are forcing them to close a studio, give up on certain franchises and cancel games. Oh bother ...According to THQ's financial outlook that was just released, THQ confirmed that both their Stuntman and Juiced franchises haven't performed as well as they expected and they will not be making any more games in either franchise. THQ also confirmed that they've canceled the PS3 version of Frontlines: Fuel of War, the PS2 version of Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed and stopped development on one of their unannounced 2010 releases, closing the studio behind it (Concrete Games). They say they're "trimming the fat", we say there's trouble in paradise.

I thought the demo was kind of neat, but really, it's kind of just an exercise in memorization. It's not something I'd pay for.

I liked stuntman ignition. definitely worth the price of admission.
Fun when you have a friend over to see who can hit 5 stars first.
lots of good things about the game.
if you could get it at a discount, I would recommend it for some fun

Why does THQ even bother making those games they can't compete with Midnight Club,PGR,Forza,Twisted Metal,Full Auto, or Gran Turismo.

only good thing about juiced was the european commercial for the game. all commercials should be like that.

I never liked Juiced but I did like the first Stuntman and the Ignition demo. I think I will pick it up on the cheap sometime.

Not really all the surprised when I read this a day ago. The driving genre is way overcrowded, Juiced was kinda so-so, and we all know how badly Stuntman sold, so that's that.

I can't believe they cancelled a game with 'Big Willy Unleashed' in the title. If that's not destined for greatness, then I don't know what is.
