Today, we bring you newish product shots of those lovable
Halo 3 McFarlane action figures that'll be available this March. But this time there's a twist. You see, we don't have any new action figures to show you, instead we have the figures' finalized packaging. Which, we must admit, is just as exciting as seeing the figures themselves. We've thrown, erm, "carefully uploaded" all of the
Halo 3 series one figures' packaging shots in the
gallery below, including Master Chief, a few Grunts, a Jackal and a Cortana figure who comes with a light up base. Batteries probably not included. Give the product shot a quick look over and imprint their likeness into the back of your head. Because, come launch day, you'll need to know what to look for on store shelves.

Love the "Bitch, please" stance of the green grunt.

The blue Master Chief I have from maybe 3 years ago is just fine, so I doubt I'll be getting another...

Hmm, needs more scout armor. Anywho, spose ill pick up a chief. Maybe a brute.

I bet you they would've made a ton of money if they released these in Sep/Nov.
Mike-453 @ Jan 25th 2008 1:10PM
I definetly want a Brute Chieftain.

Screw these halo figures, wheres the COD4 action figures?
J/k, do we have an absolute date when these will hit the shelves yet?
Magic Whiskey @ Jan 25th 2008 2:28PM
Yeah ccc, the dates for the Halo figs have been set for a good while now. Wave 1 is March/April and Wave 2 is July/August. The window is slightly vague as it almost always is for toys because of vendor distribution, supply, etc.
As for me, the pseudo-resident action figure geek on the site, I plan to get a lot from both waves.
I'll be getting Cortana, a blue and red Spartan (MARK VI), the steel gray Gamestop exclusive CQB Spartan, an orange Grunt, the Brute Chieftain, and a white EVA. (Seven from Wave 1.)
In Wave 2, I'll be buying my tan or blue Scout (w00t!), Master Chief with M90A Shotgun (w00t w00t!), an EOD of some color, the Canadian-only Pink Spartan with Gravity Hammer, (Haha.. yeah really,) and a Brute Captain (there's no pics yet on the net of this one).
Twelve figs all told..not bad! Yes..I do have a serious girlfriend, and I'm 28.....lol.
Just as a side-note, I'm also really excited about the Cloverfield action figure coming from Hasbro Direct this fall, (70 points of articulation!!!), probably an Iron Man fig, one of the new Dark Knght of both Bats and the Joker, the NECA line of Kevin Eastman/Peter Laird illustrated 80's TMNT figures (Been waiting for these for YEARS...), and a Predator or two from the new AVP-R line in March.
It's tough being a toy collector. Can you tell I was born into the era of He-Man, Super Powers and Transformers toys?? :)

That's actually exactly what I was thinking. If these had been released along with the game I'm sure it would have done a lot better.
Now, I'd pick up some CoD figures over Halo, no doubt. In fact, I just bought some off of ebay, McFarlane's military figures.
