Halo 3: Get learned in Heavy Weapon tactics [update]
Update: Xbox.com registration is now open.We just checked our official X3F calendar (and the XBLM) and wouldn't you know that registration for the second Halo 3 Championship training sessions just opened up. Heavy Weapon training registration just went live today and even though an Xbox.com registration page has yet to go live, you can download the official Heavy Weapon gamer picture set and theme and that will get you insta-registered for the training session on February 9th. And just like Sniper School, this Heavy Weapon training will come complete with Halo 3 video strategies and some Play & Win. But unlike Sniper School, Heavy Weapon is all about the big, the explosive and the damaging weapons. No stealth shooting here, it's all about the "BOOM" and the "KABLAM!" Remember, Xbox.com has yet to post any info regarding Heavy Weapon training or any way to register online, but when they do we'll be sure to supply you with the proper linkage. Now run along and have fun rocket-whoring.

I didnt know Sniper School had videos. Are these available anywhere online or from XBL for anyone? I could use some tips on Sniping.

Go to the Marketplace and click on the section for Sniper School, I forgot what it's under, might be Free Stuff. There are videos, themes and gamerpics. I'm probably not going back to Halo 3 jus yet, but I'm getting them just because they're free.

I've got a heavy weapons school of my own I'm running, it goes something like this.
Rocket Launcer - Rocket end toward enemy(ies), stand back, shoot, win.
Spartan Laser - Point at vehicle(or unlucky spartan), let charge, fire, win.
Brute Shot - Pick up, find better weapon, drop.

lol, 100% agree with your brute shot strategy.

The brute shot is a great weapon to get the drop on someone with or when taking on a MonGoose/Warthog.
Other than that though it is pretty useless.

Another annoying thing:
Stationary Turrets- DON'T BE A FUCKING JACKASS RIPPING THEM OFF BECAUSE YOU'LL DIE WITHOUT EVEN SCORING A KILL!
That's the main reason why I hate Sandtrap. Every time I drive the Elephant, some prick will spawn and instead of going for an Elephant Turret, he'll grab the other MG and run off with it.They usually score a kill or two before becoming completely owned.
They would probably score a few sprees if they used my fucking turret but apparently that's "not kool/4 pussies!". Imagine how annoying it is driving for few minutes waiting for some fucker to go on the fucking turret!

Bungie needs elephant training. Don't drive your own effing elephant towards the middle of the level in bomb the base!!! I can't believe how many times people do this.

I am Heavy Weapons Guy. This is my gun, Sasha.
Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe... Maybe. But I have yet to meet man who can outsmart bullet.

er...Majority of weapons can own a ripped of turret.Pretty much every player can own a turret providing that he's good with grenades.

Is this US exclusive, because I looked around and can't find the Heavy Weapons stuff on the XBLM.
The Brute shot is a crap weapon, it can take 3/4/5 or more shots right at someones head/torso, whereas someone can hit the ground in front of you and for some reason you die. I understand that for the Rocket Launcher, but the brute shot isn't anywhere near as powerful as the Rocket Launcher
