Video: First look at Tiberium gameplay
Recently released by the crew over at EA is the first gameplay footage from upcoming shooter Tiberium and let it be known that ... it looks good. This collage-o-gameplay shows off a few of Tiberium's gameplay cards including the ability to sprint, slide and peer around cover. But best of all are the Transformers style weapons that not only have fluid animations (so many games drop the ball on that), but also dish out the destruction rather effectively. Also, watch for the moment when a scatter projectile is shot and takes out a handful flying discs. That stuff is priceless. The video is embedded above, so get your watch on.

Who's doing the soundtrack? It doesn't sound like Frank which is a shame.. I hope I'm wrong

That game just fell onto my radar. Color me interested and slightly impressed.

That looked seriously average to me. There's not enough going on when things blow up, it just looks like a last gen game.
Big Wizz @ Jan 29th 2008 12:01PM
I don't know about that whole jumping over obstacles. That really sucks in FPS...
THA1icarus @ Jan 29th 2008 4:06PM
That really sucks in multiplayer.....
It could be really cool in the single player.
But some people really like it look at UT but thats on the pc.

I hope nothing comes at you from the right, because that big arse of a gun will shade it. I think I filled up my trash can watching the gun rock back and forth, someone please stop the room from spinning.
Modeps @ Jan 29th 2008 12:17PM

For being (what seems) one of the only people who actually liked CnC Renegade... I am really looking forward to this. I think it actually has the potential to be good. Not great, but good. Obviously since there's so many shooters on the market, "good" will just make it fall in the pile with almost all the rest of them but... that's where you can choose your picks from. The squad based controls/reinforcements and mechs could make this be pretty interesting. Here's to hoping they just don't make some drastic change from now and to when it is released.

I loved CnC Renegade and I want to like this game but I already think EA will screw it up. And if this game has anything to do Renegade will it feature all the same gameplay like bases and such?
The weapons also look gay they should just base everything in this game off the old CnC world not just some generic sci-fi crap that doesn't remind me of CnC at all

I waited through to whole trailer for something cool to happen..But went away very disappointed! This game looks SO average..Not that we already have a billion 08/15 shooter on the 360 :/
Cheers
stinger503 @ Jan 29th 2008 4:40PM
Man I hope you can pilot those walkers :)
ThomasShaped @ Jan 29th 2008 12:58PM
Some of it looks awful at the moment, like the mech blowing up animation and the sliding under the whatever-it-was, but I hope that's going to be all fixed for the final release. Other than that the game looks pretty good.
Chester @ Jan 29th 2008 2:03PM
I thought it looked dope, def on my radar now!
IncredibleBulk92 @ Jan 29th 2008 8:18PM
I just hope there are more interesting enemies in this then the floating crystals. GeoWars had shapes and that was cool, but this needs mechs and gunships and stuff lol
Poddo @ Jan 29th 2008 11:25PM
Seriously guys, wtf is up with all the Transformers references when you report on this game? Its Command and Conquer. You know, Tiberian Sun, Renegade, C&C the orginal, C&C3, etc.
Boff @ Jan 30th 2008 6:58AM
I thought it looked OK but nothing to write home about though.
Hopefully I'll be proven wrong, only one way to find out - DEMO!
MichaelRingheim @ Jan 30th 2008 1:05PM
So game developers are still making guns that take up a quarter of the screen?
This game doesn't even look as good as Prey. At least it will help fill the gaping void of average FPSers on the 360.
