Video: Lost Odyssey follows the white rabbit
Mistwalker released a new Lost Odyssey trailer today and color us white, it's rather enjoyable. The new trailer doesn't focus on Lost Odyssey's novel qualities or mention anything about the lackluster collector's edition, instead Mistwalker focuses on Lost Odyssey's art, story and epic RPG scale. The trailer's visuals are A+, but we think the background music track ("White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane) is what sells it. Tell us we're wrong if you like, but the latest trailer is a winner in our book. Follow that white rabbit!

Nice!! I only wish the gameplay is decent compared to Blue Dragon which I just didnt enjoy. The thing just looks a beaut!!I wish they had Japanese dialog with subtitles cause as a general rule English voiceover actors for anime just plain suck.

It does have Japanese dialog, you just have to change the language. Blue Dragon did too.

OMG there was a kiss inthe game. Now I can virtual orgasmic rape even in Lost Odyssey.
I know I need to let go but I just cant!!

Never liked the song, personally, hell never cared for Jefferson Airplane nor the reincarnate jefferson starship, for that matter.
Nevertheless, this game has been on my "must buy" list for a very long time.

I like this method of advertising these games. Licensed songs can really make a difference in films... but it seems like they're mostly used in games like Crackdown and racers. I think it'd be really interesting if someone made a more modern-day RPG that took that same mindset.

I don't particularly like the song, but it just felt good in the video. Not as good as the time I was playing Star Wars: Battlefront II and I had Skillet's Rebirthing start playing as Amidala's ship was flying into the asteroid field to get to Polis Massa.

Ok, this has to stop. My marriage can't stand another great game, let alone a great RPG game.
I beg you, for the love of God, stop!

I swear, the people MS gets to advertize their games have got to be some of the most inventive and classy people in the biz. The GOW ad, the Halo campaign....

@Arnie... lol
Seriously, I had no interest in this game whatsoever, but this changed my mind. Best trailer since "Mad World"...
Game advertising is so cliche...and often does nothing to bolster the game. This is fresh and certainly compelling...

Does this mean you'll need a bong to play Lost Odyssey?

If they showed this trailer first, it would have sold a lot of 360s. This trailer looks so epic, reminds me of how sony show cinematic cut scenes instead of gameplay. Very well done and this should help sales immensely. I will have to buy this game.

Such a shame I haven't the patience to play, er um i mean read, games like these. Looks amazing but i am way to ADD.

too bad they cut out...
"And if you go chasing rabbits and you know you're going to fall
Tell'em a hookah smoking caterpillar has given you the cord
Call Alice when she was just small"
*sigh*

Unless there are some clear references in the game to Alice In Wonderland, I don't see the point of using a song like White Rabbit in the trailer. That song carries some major resonance that tells a story. Its not just something about angst or romance or any of the usual crap in music these days. It is a great song and the game does look pretty good, but if there is no relevance between the two then I'm not interested.
