Banjo 3 isn't going to be so traditional

Rare's latest community Q&A answer session of Scribes has brought forth a small nugget of Banjo-Kazooie 3 information regarding the game's platformer gameplay. According to a Rare employee, "Banjo won't be a shooter (unless we sell no copies like Ghoulies and out of desperation give him a gun for the next game) but it also won't be a traditional platformer." The Rare team even goes as far to say that they "somewhat grandly like to think that [Banjo-Kazooie 3] will be a different take on the genre". Now that friends, is setting the bar high. They also confirm that Banjo 3 will feature some sort of multiplayer gameplay and promise it'll be teh hawtness. And really, we just want to see the game in action as we're ever so curious to see how this hush-hush title will look, feel and play. Eagerly. Awaiting. More. Details.

Anyways, I'm kind of concerned with what all this means. I guess I trust them to not fuck things up though, you know?

I thought they'd try to make it all "edgy" like Naughty Dog did with Jak & Daxter after the original title

Banjo and Kazooie (the first one) holds a special place in my heart. the one game for my N64 that was played more than any other game.

I might have to buy a 360 to see how this one turns out...

I'm hoping they add more stuff to collect! On a serious note though they could basically add new levels and better graphics and keep the gameplay as is, that would be fine with me. The first Banjo was the next best thing to Mario 64, so I'm very hopefull about this game.

I still want the comedey between banjo and kazooie and the other characters. I hope kazooie is still an in your face bird and questions the silly motives of all the bad guys like in the first 2 games. Oh, I also hope they leave in the halarious voice talking. I loved meeting new characters and hearing their voices. Banjos is one of the best. uh ah uh uh ah uh. I remember in the death credits where grunty wins and becomes all sexy her voice is the same but high and sexy instead of all grunty and which like lol.

Oh lets not forget all the crazy music note collecting, puzzle pieces, other golden stuff and changing into different animals and objects :p. In fact, I dont want them to change anything about the game lol.

I think they should drop multiplayer however and just focus on an amazing 1 player mode (with co-op). multiplayer in banjo 2 was one of the worst multiplayers ever.

1 last thing, I really hope they come out with banjo 1 and 2 for XBLA before banjo 3 comes out. I want to play those games again but my n64 is too blury on my hd set at 480p once its scaled up. I would love to see the games released with 720 support and perhaps some polished textures and whatnot.
