McFarlane Halo 3 figures spotted in the wild

X3F reader matt mcclard sent us the picture above, which he recently took at a Wal-Mart store in Dallas. And we think the picture is pretty self-explanatory. Halo 3 series one figures are already making their way into retail stores! Woohoo! This also means one other thing: we're headed off to our local Wal-mart to see what Halo 3 goodies we can find. Master Chief, we're coming for you.
[Thanks, matt mcclard]

Does anyone know the price on this product?

Master Chief is well made if only for the joints being a little stiff. Anyway, I got mine when I saw them at my local Wal-Mart and the Chief is sitting on my desk in a Shakespearean pose.

which figures did your wal-mart stock so far?
Deezul @ Feb 24th 2008 5:25PM
Saw them at a Wal-Mart in Warrenton, VA last night, $9.82. Almost picked them up, but $10 for an "action figure?" At least they should have mixed up the guns instead of Assault Rifles for everyone...
LiqwidZero @ Feb 24th 2008 6:40PM
1/2 of the $10 goes towards the purchase of the figure and accessories. The other 1/2 goes towards the ridiculous amount of plastic packaging that surrounds the figure and accessories.

wave 2 has most of the figures with shotguns, spartan lasers and battle rifles. I'll be waiting for the wave 2 chief for that reason.

ugh why does my Walmart have to follow release dates. Went searching around the local one and couldn't find anything. Definetly picking these up when they come out here.
Magic Whiskey @ Feb 24th 2008 7:30PM
Gamestop will have them this week at $12.99.

I just picked some up at Wal-mart here in Las Vegas if anyone from the area is checking this site. (Eastern and Seren store)

Just saw some at a Walmart here in Albuquerque NM (cottonwood area). Picked up a few of them, but they're for my 5yr old son who loves MC and Halo, so they were a surprise for him. I think the one's from Halo 2 were better quality for display/collecting, these look like they were made to be played with, or McFarlane is just getting lazy and not caring about quality anymore? However, they're being sold at Walmart so that might explain why they're more to be played with then displaying?

Just checked my Wal-Mart in NJ. No luck. :(

Just so everybody knows I found out that as far as Wall-Mart stores go only the Super stores are supposed to get these. I checked 2 in my area and they both had small shippments in a week ago and they were all gone already. I've had the best luck finding some at the GameStop stores for $12.99.
