Video: It's a Castle Crashers playthrough
Coming straight from the GDC floor and onto your computer screen is actual gameplay video of The Behemoth's little XBLA game that could, Castle Crashers. And it's an informative video at that. In the vid, The Behemoth briefly shows off some of the game's hack and slash combat as they string together a few combos, kill some baddies and explain how the magic system works. We also get to see the game's level map that encompasses twenty levels and get to preview what the character stats screen looks like. But most interesting of all is the fact that Castle Crashers will incorporate some mild RPG elements that'll allow you to level up your character, gain experience points and unlock new abilities. Enough talk though, just start viewing. It's Castle Crashers ... 'nuff said.

Most definitely a buy for me. So, where is the Podcast guys??? I was looking forward to listening to it last night after work. I was sadly let down :( Seriously, you guys are doing a great job. Keep it up!

I'd have no problem picking this up as a value priced retail release (like I did with Alien Homonid). If this is under $20, it's a steal...

Don't laugh guys, it's an epidemic in the English language among Americans. It is frightening and only by pointing it out or criticizing people for it can we hope to stop it; there aren’t many other options short of euthanizing them which I personally leaning towards as an Anti-Knight of Doublespeak.
* = Never heard the word pronounced in such a way, but apparently it is equally as correct as the more traditional way of pronouncing it.

It's even worse in japan, next time you hear a japanese person speak listen to how many times they say "etto" "anou" kinda funny..
But anyway, this game looks terrific, might be my first XBLA purchase..
When is this game due out anyway? I fell in love with videos of it what seems ages ago

According to my "sarces" the retard in the video studders out his "uhh umm" approximatly 44 times in about 3 minutes.
I personally can't go through the horrors of the video again to verify this to be true but either way it is awful.

Can't wait for this game, for me it feels like a big anticipated release hehe.
I don't mind that they took so long, but they let us know about this game too soon. It's looking like the extra time will pay off :)

Actually let me explain why.
Alien Hominid was a very hardcore 2d side scrolling shooter that holds up against the best of the best in that genre.
When I see Castle Crashers running and I watch the gameplay, I have to compare it to the legendarys of the genre like, Streets of Rage 2, Final Fight and the king of the hill Guardian Heroes. I don't know, but I hope Castle Crashers can be compared next to those amazing games like Alien Hominid with the Contras and Metal Slugs.
