MLB 2K8 is going, going, going, gone gold!

Taking over the sports news duties away from Xav for the day, we thought we'd mention that 2K Sports' Major League Baseball 2K8 has officially gone gold and is being pressed to disc at this very moment. That means that your MLB gaming fun is but only a few days away, so be sure to head to your local drug store and stock up on "supplements" before the season begins. Big and strong kids, you have to be big and strong to play this game.

Actually, a few days away. MLB 2K8 comes out March 4.

I ordered a 360 just for this game, I hope it's better than last years edition. I'm needing my baseball fix...bad.

Is it me or have the next-gen baseball games been really lackluster?

Baseball is by far my favorite sport, yet MLB 2K6 and 2K7 are gathering dust after playing each for only a couple hours before being frustrated with the gameplay and bugs.

If baseball is your favorite sport then you best have/get a PS3 for The Show. I dont own a ps3 but if baseball were a must i'd have a ps3. its just amazing that game.

I might pick up a PS3 just for MLB08 The Show. I bought MLB2k7 last year for the 360 and MLB 07 The Show for the PSP and found myself playing The Show on the PSP because it was more fun. I still haven't even came close to finishing a season on 2K7, but on The show I've finished 3.

I played the show on my roommates PS3 and I just don't see that "AMAZING" gameplay everyone's been talking about. The game plays pretty good, don't get me wrong...the physics are nice and the gameplay is smooth....it's just not as good nor fun as 2K7 and of course 2K8.
