It's time for the second installment of
X3F TV everyone. For this episode, we have hands-on impressions of
Sacred 2 from
GDC08. Longtime readers may remember that we
saw the game at GDC07 last year. We can honestly say that the fantasy hack-and-slash has come a long way during the last year. But why waste words when a video can tell you so much more? Enjoy our video hands-on and tell us what you think. Subscribers to the
Xbox 360 Fancast will also receive the video via their aggregator of choice and the M4V file can be downloaded directly as well, so feel free to watch it on your favorite personal media player (in a much higher resolution).

Not bad. Looks like it will be a good alternative to Titan Quest, which I've always been hoping would show up on 360 and is obviously never going to happen lol.

Good Stuff guys. You should do theses, 1up style. I'd love to see you guys acting silly on the screen.

...it actually looks like a good alternative to Two Worlds.
Diablo 2 hooked me back in the day, if this carries a similar skill tree then this is a definite Day 5 purchase for me...yes, a day 5 purchase...

I think sacred 2 looks great, crazy stuff!! - nice and big - a must buy a long with fable 2, gears 2 ..... so many games....
And the video was great, and with nice comments - i like X3F feels like real people behind the screen.

With this and Too Human its looking like 360 gamers are finally getting their dungeon crawling fix.

Oh man, when I first saw this, my brain went searching around for what the hell "Sacred 1" was, and came up with "Sacrifice" accidentally:

I got all excited for a sequel to a truly excellent game, then I realized my mistake. Dammit.

Looks pretty solid, a definite Gamefly rent.
Hey can someone, anyone please tell me how to reply directly to a comment? I can't for the life of me figure it out. Thanks in advance!
Etchasketchist @ Feb 28th 2008 12:53PM
There should be a "reply" link under the comment. You can't reply to replies though.

Certainly looks to have the Diablo feel to it - if they pull it together with enough depth and polish, this an insanely addicting must-have.
prometh3rus @ Feb 28th 2008 1:43PM
The original Sacred was a great game, not fantastic (ie. - a LOT of bugs), but had some really good ideas and well executed gameplay; the addictive dungeon-crawling quality didn't hurt either...
I am excited for Sacred 2's local co-op play. Seems we can never get enough of games that feature that! I enjoy Xbox Live, but sometimes I want to play with people in my own home--I mean what's the point of having 4 controllers anyway...? Freak...
Neuromancer @ Feb 28th 2008 1:56PM
Thanks Etchasketch, for some bizarro reason the link is invisible on my computer. ?!? Very strange, thanks again.
ChromaTick @ Feb 28th 2008 2:26PM
Certain firewalls seem to play havoc with the reply button. At home I can see it fine, but at work I have to just hover the mouse pointer along the bottom of the comment until it turns into a hand. It's there, just invivisble. ;)

Thanks for the walk through. I saw videos of this game, but they were all close up and I didn't realize this game was a Diablo style dungeon crawler.
Deck @ Mar 9th 2008 4:27AM
Looks pretty decent and solid. I have craving a dungeon crawler so this may just do it.
By the way, loving the X3F TV episodes that have been coming out regularly! Keep up the awesome work Richard! They're great! (No, wasn't trying to be Tony the Tiger).
