For the latest edition of
XBLA in Brief -- where we take a look at the trial versions of the latest Xbox Live Arcade games -- we're doing something a little different. Rather than type up a long summary of a three minute trial game, we've put together a video that highlights everything you need to know. Please, enjoy our look at
Triggerheart Exelica, and tell us what you think of us using video for XBLA in Brief.
This video is also our latest episode of X3F TV, and subscribers to the 360 Fancast will receive it via their aggregator of choice. The M4V is also available for download right here. The high resolution streaming version can be found by clicking the "read" link.

I love that the video opens with that ridiculous English voice over. I like this setup, personally... and I like the video host as well.
Do companies not offer full versions of these games for free for review purposes? I'm kind of surprised that Joystiq doesn't kick in that cost, actually.

I think that the idea is good because it puts the game right in the readers face so they can see whats up with it. It's a great way to promote the live arcade games.

Hey Rich good job. One thing though, less talky more pew pew pew.

Ya know what Xbox 360 Fanboy, every time I see the title of this particular set of articles, I am extremely tempted to edit a photo of one of those (Unrealistically buff) brief underwear models, and replace their head with the XBLA logo.
So thanks a lot, you're making me feel awkward.

DiddyKong: That's what GameTrailers is for :)
Note taken though. I put this together a little more quickly than I would have liked.

what a great idea, i would rather watch 10 of these a day, rather than troll through pages of pages of news.

Tempting, but I may pass on this one as I'm still working my way through the sideway scrolling shoot-em-up "Omega Five".
Great segment, really appreciate it!

This is awesome. Much better way to present impressions and general information about the game features. I look forward to seeing these for XBLA releases on a regular basis, and maybe as a way to give impressions of DLC that you guys pick up as well.
