Guinness gets Rainbow Six Vegas 2 fever

Ubisoft seems to be pairing up with everyone these days to promote the upcoming 10th Anniversary title in the Rainbow Six franchise, Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Ubisoft and the Guinness World Records have teamed up to bring the gaming world the first official marathon session of multiplayer gaming, where a few gamers will get to play Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on Xbox 360 for a solid 24-hour stretch.
Taking part in the attempt will be the UK Frag Dolls (which are sponsored by Ubisoft): Jam, Kitt and Sarin. The attempt will take place in the UK from the March 21 - 24 where all 1,500 tickets to join in the fun live have already sold out. If the dolls are able to compete for a straight 24-hour session of gaming Guinness World Records will induct the event, Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 into the 2009 edition of the world-famous record catalog.
Gamers connected are invited to join in the fraggin' fun over Xbox Live when the game launches later this month.

I played the first one and didn't have long enough attention span to play for four hours. I don't think they could do 24.

I could play Gears for 24 hours straight with nooooooooooo problem.
Hell, if I didn't have to work and could convince my friends to do the same I probably would've done it by now.

Well..if it was rainbow six 1 they'd be doing nothing but CC on attack and defend for 24 hours, now that was boring after 1 game, sod 24 hours of it.

IMO, RB6 is totally different than CoD4. Sure, they're both shooters with persistence systems. But that's where the similarities end. They play quite differently both in SP and MP. So I'm hoping this installment will draw a different crowd. But I'm sure there will plenty of smacktards looking for new exploits to rank up faster than their friends. That's the downside to persistence systems and MP-based achievements.

I don't know if i'm alone here, but for the past many years (maybe even decade) the "Guiness Book of Records" has just been one giant joke of a record after another.
I mean seriously, I remember being a kid and being fasinated by the records. Nowadays everybody and their grandma is in the record book.
Ohh ohh look at me im the fastest at sipping ketchup through a straw (yes that is an actual record in the book)

When I was unemployed, I played Halo 3 for a good 16 hours one day straight. I'm so stoked for this game, if I didn't have a job, I probably good do 24 hours because I hate the fucking Frag Dolls.
