Bow Wow and Omarion become Artists of the Month

Both Bow Wow and Omarion got to share this month's AotM honors, because of their collaborative album Face Off which, according to the press blurb, showcases a "quantum leap in creative and artistic musical expression". And here at X3F, we're supporters of any and all quantum leaping. So go ahead and download their first Face Off single "Hey Baby (Jump Off)" from the XBLM and maybe, if you're up to it, grab a copy of the album at retail. If you do make the purchase, not only will you be supporting both Bow Wow and Omarion, but you'll also be supporting quantum leaping as well.

I thought to become artist of the month you have to actually be an artist, not some generic rap flavor of the month to cash in.
Oh how good musicians like Jimmy Hendrix and Jam Master Jay are probably rolling in their graves.
j @ Mar 13th 2008 1:49PM
I love how when people always hate on rap they name black musicians they like to not look racist lol as if Run-DMC dropped the greatest lyrics in the world. Anyway yeah Omarion is not a rapper I know this isn't Fanboys type of music but shit look on wikipedia or something Omarion is a well known SINGER NOT RAPPER

I'm a whore for downloading anything free..since I got a 120GB drive now. Plus, I used to be somewhat of a Bow Wow fan back in the day so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt...I mean if they are quantum leaping and all.
anthonyjh @ Mar 13th 2008 3:20PM
Yay! Lets give the bastards who are ruining the rap industry more face time!

Ryan @ Mar 13th 2008 11:32PM
I didn't know they still had artist of the month. I remember they had Modest Mouse awhile back, and that was awesome. But I haven't heard of it until now, and after looking at the artists, I regret having done so.
ccc @ Mar 13th 2008 11:48PM
@jamie
No they couldn't and no they couldn't.

So true. I say that all the time. /ATHF reference

If rap music died in the nineties what have I been listening to for the last 20 years? Typical response from a typical person who makes assumptions without having any first hand knowledge.
99charlie @ Mar 14th 2008 1:41AM
disgusting!
whoiscraig @ Mar 14th 2008 2:01AM
Okay we respond the right way and throw you idiots a bone. All released in 2000 or later...Keep in mind that I'm not defending the decision to name Bow Wow and Omarion artist of the week but more a genre as a whole. It's funny that you never see anyone dismiss an entire genre when white teenagers are in question. DON'T CRITICIZE WHAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. IGNORANCE IS BETTER THAN PRETENDING.
