European Rock Band graced with exclusive tracks

Our friends in Europe have been going through a thumb-twiddling hell for a long time now, having to somehow accept the fact that they have no access to Rock Band while North American gamers have been jamming for the past few months. But know it is coming friends and know that Harmonix cares. They care so much that they'll be including a set of exclusive tracks in the PAL release.

During this weekend's UK Play.com festival, the crew over at button bandits had a chance to play the PAL version of Rock Band (yes, it exists) and obtained a complete track list. The list is nearly identical to its NTSC cousin, except for ten new exclusive additions which we posted after the break. Of course, we can't be sure how exclusive these ten tracks are to the PAL version or if North American Rock Band players will ever have a chance to purchase them. Knowing that, we're fine if we never see these tracks on North American XBLM soil. We'll let our fellow Europeans have this one ... they've suffered enough.

Oh, and to Mr Brown:
It's not the case that America has been getting marketplace content / free stuff / significantly cheaper prices on games / significantly cheaper prices on all things branded Xbox 360 / video marketplace years before us / I could go on.
We get one demo, and some new songs in a game thats you lot have had months earlier; and suddenly MS is kissing our asses? Get real.

@Thomas Brown, why is that such a bad thing. A) The Condemned 2 demo isn't even out in EU yet. B) The price cuts finally bring us a little closer to paying the same price as the US. Finally, MS don't have anything to do with the track list in Rock Band, that'll be Harmonix trying to give us a little compensation for having to wait this long.

Are you stupid mate? You have had Rock Band for 5 months already, and we haven't even got a bloody release date. Americans also got Video Marketplace, so I think you're being really ignorant and ungrateful

MUSE, NOoooooo!

I love Muse, and Hysteria is one of my favorites, they can't be an exclusive to EU. This makes me very sad. I hope it's a timed exclusive. We need Muse here in the states too!!!!!

Some of the other songs are good too, but I've been waiting patiently for Muse to be released on RB and this hurts a lot.

... huh? Actually, it's just you bro... Rock Band is published by EA, was developed by Harmonix (who in turn is owned by MTV) and is also available (yes, downloadable content too) on the PS3.

Although yes MS has been showing Europe some love recently (and what's wrong with that? as far as I can tell they always get the short end of the stick) this isn't a case of that.

If you need a conspiracy theory here, it's that EA likes profits, and exclusive stuff tends to help build excitement around a launch, especially when you're launching in a region that's getting it quite a bit later than we did.

@thomas brown, the demo is not out yet, we still pay more for our games and consoles and everything else, and we have had to wait a lot longer than you for this game. damn right MS should be kissing our arses, give them a break from yours.

Yeah, Hysteria better come out in the U.S... I mean the English tracks should definatly be made available in America since we know... speak English. Although I'd also like if Harmonix made all DLC worldwide so I could download some foreign stuff (Come on Japanese Rock Band!)

Muse - Hysteria was the first track I thought of when they showed RockBand, Its also my most requested song on the RB Forums.

If Hysteria doesn't make its way to the US I will die.

Some of these tracks were on that leaked list of songs from a few weeks back...I know for sure that the Hysteria song was on there. I'd bet the farm on all of these being released to the US as well. Hopefully for free.

You must be in one of those other European countries because the last time I checked the Parts if not all the UK had the VM now along with a couple of other Euro countries I might be wrong on that last one. But still I feel for the European gamers on this one, this wait legnth is just plain old freakin BS. Although I would like to get these songs as a DLC we could BUY. Even the german ones, I might not understand the lyrics but at least in GH3 they've had some sweet sounding songs.

Am I the only one here who thinks this is a bit disappointing? I don't want to be singing French or German songs. There not doing a very good job on localizing, I know their trying to cater for everyone, but i feel in doing so, they have somewhat failed in some area.

Are we to expect Italian, Spanish, Romanian and Polish songs also since it's a "European" version?

I really don't mean to come off as ungrateful or cynical , but if that is the case I blame the unbelievable delay, the excuse that they were localizing, and the zero word from EA as the cause.
