Putting their
newly launched Castle Crashers dev blog to good use, The Behemoth posted news that our little XBLA game will allow players to unlock a handful of
new characters. Twenty-two new characters to fight alongside our four colorful knights, all unlocked through various means and all completely playable. The new characters are still shrouded in mystery, but we've been promised that a few unlockables will be revealed in the future and, of course ... we just can't wait! This is exactly why we have the
Castle Crashers dev blog added to our bookmark list, because edible bits of info like this just need to be consumed.

The more I find out about this game, the more badass it becomes. This game is gonna rule!

lets hope there is more variety amongst the other 22 then there is for the first 4.

when does this game come out? I feels like I've been reading about it for years! This and Street Fighter HD seem like the most complicated to put out XBLA games in history... I'm pretty sure Ranbow Six Vegas the original came out when these were announced and now they have part 2.

"lets hope there is more variety amongst the other 22 then there is for the first 4."
That and that the difference between them isn't just different types of hats.

And next week they reveal the red blue green and orange archer. Followed by the red blue green orange mage. Followed by the red blue green orange barbarian. Then the red blue green orange bard and so on and so forth.... jk
this game looks great.

@ intentless, you are so serious!!
Intentless @ Mar 18th 2008 3:17PM
Umm serious? I control c control v'd and changed the character types using the generic archetypes used in most "fantasy" games and added a "jk"... is it really that serious looking?
And again this game does look great...

"Speaking of xbla games taking forever where is that Capcom vs. Marvel game that was sposed to come out?"
It was never officially announced. It was just something an executive at Marvel said he would like to see.

My guess is you can play as 22 different enemies.

This game is going to be sweet, if it ever comes out. I'm starting to feel that this game though looking freaking awesome is just a figment of our imaginations, I can't tell you the number of times that I set aside MS Points to get the game, and then end up several months later still without the game, and having decided to just buy another game that I was waiting for that was announced after the original Castle Crashers announcement.

Looks like it's following the footsteps of an old Treasure game by the name of Guardian Heroes with all the unlockable playable characters, except the story mode allows 4 players instead of just 2. Guardian Heroes had a 6 player battle mode though on the good ol Sega Saturn!

Castle Crashers in purple, yellow, silver, and more!
